My husband and I will be going on our first ever Disney Cruise in about 9 days :cool1:

I KNOW we will want to go on another (we do enjoy cruising and love disney), so we have budgeted to book a cruise onboard :goodvibes I understand dummy dates and are planning on doing one.

HOWEVER, I'd like to get all of your lovely opinions on a question I'm really having trouble with ...

When to cruise for the second time?

I have been over the site but, it just raises more questions. Let me tell you our guidelines:

::MickeyMo It must be in 2013
::MickeyMo We'd prefer to spend MAXIMUM of $2,000 on the cruise fare
::MickeyMo It will only be for 2 adults

We do not mind inside and actually would prefer an inside on the Dream or Fantasy (to try those cool 'magic portholes')!

The reason why I am turning to you fine folks is because I'd like opinions on various seasons and itineraries ^_^ I think money is a bigger issue than where to go at this point :)

Thank you :flower3:

Check out the Wonder 5-day cruises in Jan 2013... They start at just over $1K. You can get a veranda for under $2K. Depart from Miami, visit Cozumel, Costa Maya, Castaway Cay.

I'm on an 8 night out of Galveston Feb 1 and the starting price is just under $2000. I don't think that you will find the Fantasy for under that even with the on-board discount, but you may get close. You could do the Dream for less than that but do you want to do that short of a cruise?

Thank you both ^_^

Sissy, we WERE planning on the dream! I think the only way we'd do a 4 day is if it was paired with WDW before the cruise. Such a shame they made the dream only do 3/4 days :(

Remember too, that whatever you book, you can always move the OBB to another cruise if that's not the itinerary you really want ... something may catch your eye when they release the Magic/Wonder itineraries for the fall/winter of 2013. You don't have to get it perfect when you're on board. Relax and have a great cruise! :)

Thank you taaren ^_^

So they still haven't released everything? I was wondering! We were interested in the New England/Canada itineraries but none are in 2013 :(

If you can swing the airfare to get home, I'd vote for the Trans-Atlantic on the Magic. You can do 2 weeks for 2 people for under $2K.

I was looking at that!! I may be able to swing the airfare ... we shall see ... That would be amazing though!

For $2,300 you can get a 7-night cruise to the Caribbean on the Fantasy in September or October next year.

Yeah, that price is pretty dang good, if we can find airfare for both of us for $700, we might do that :)

We didn't consider september before though. I know Aug - Oct is pretty harsh hurricane season. What does Disney do in the even of hurricanes?
