Just upgraded from an oceanview to 7a GTY

A little nervous...Anyone do this and regret it? The price difference was $435 but figured the balcony would be worth it. Did anyone do this and get a terrible room?

The 7A's on the Magic are navigator verandah balcony rooms, but there is a chance that you will be upgraded to a regular verandah, there is no way of figuring out how DCL does this, it is pure luck. We like the navigators verandah cat 7A so it would not be a terrible room to us.

All the 7As are pretty much the same on the Magic and are all aft. On the Dream/Fantasy they very a lot. We like the verandah but I will only pay for a 7A.

I didn't think it would be terrible when i booked it, but then my TA made it sound bad that it was a GTY it was almost like she would of preferred we not make the switch so i figured i would check it out with you guys.

Some people are very particular over where their room is or some think that a GTY will automatically be upgraded. As long as you will be happy with a Navigator's Verandah you will be fine. Just don't expect it and if you get upgraded past a 7A it will be Pixie Dust. Your TA may have dealt with people in the past who were unhappy with the location of GTY rooms or did not get upgraded and complained. The 7A's are great rooms.

Thank you!!! I am never lucky so i never expect more than what i pay for but i didn't want less either.

We've sailed in 7As many times and have always been happy. I don't think you will be disappointed.

now that you've taken a verandah you're going to be ruined for all future cruises!!!!
you're going to want one every time!

the navigators are really cute!!
i think you're going to love it!!
i adore having a verandah!...nothing i like better than sitting out there with a cup of coffee...and the navigator verandahs are very cozy...
but whichever you get, navigator or regular, it will be sublime!!!
