I know the book says up to 4 in a Boardwalk 1 bedroom but I have heard it said that 5 are allowed....has anyone else heard this?

If you book through MS, you can have five in the one bedroom. But you won't get any sleeping space for number five. They will not provide any rollaways or cots. You'll have to bring your own aerobed. Including sheets, blankets, pillows, etc. Plus you'll only have four bath towels, two hand towels and four face cloths. So, again, you'll have to bring your own or purchase an extra towel pack for $6.

But if you book through Disney Reservation Center, you won't be able to book five in the villa.

MS is Member Service (booking on points or cash through DVC). Disney Reservation Center is booking for cash directly through Disney.

We did it last October. Kids were 9,7 and 7 at the time. One of them had to sleep with us in the king-bed, and the other two shared the sofa-bed.
It worked only because our kids are still young but we probably won't do it again.

I did this last summer thru Member Services.

As the PP said, I probably won't do it again but it worked FINE for 2 nights. DH and I slept with the 5 year old and my sister slept with our DD8 and the little DD was in the pack and play.

Then we moved to OKW and all spread out!

Whatever. It was a little tight, but worked for us.

I completely agree. Unless your party includes young children this isn't the most comfortable set-up. Why not try AKV, OKW, or BLT the 1 Bedrooms there all sleep 5.

I had no problem booking 5 into a 1 bedroom at BCV for next month. 3 adults and 2 kids. 4yo will sleep with mom and dad and 7yo GDD will share the sofa bed with me. The only downside is sharing 1 bathroom. Normally when we do this we choose BLT for the extra bathroom.
