Are the fish n chips the same at the Rose and Crown and the small kiosk near there and do you get the same amount?

Same fish and chips, but I believe Rose & Crown usually serves two pieces of fish and the walk-up just one.

The walk-up, Yorkshire County, has 2 pieces of the fish in the fish & chips meal. We get this every trip. Yum I want some now!

In my experience the f&c at the window were superior to what was served inside.
The window version was fresher/hotter. :earsboy:

NOTE: This is a small QS stand to the right of Rose & Crown.
The menu is ONLY fish & chips. There are sides of chips or of
shortbread. The only other menu items are soda-coffee-tea
and Bass Ale or Harp Beer. Having Fish & Chips often in London,
this compares a little less favorably. Our Brit neighbors think
it is good for "American Fish and Chips", but below average for
"English Fish and Chips"
. But, it is still our top QS in WS.

As an American, die hard, F&C lover I'd be curious what the difference would be. Are they crispier? Is it the flavor that is different?

I do have to say that the ones from the stand were piping hot when we got a hold on 'em. The ones from the restaurant we suspected of being held while the rest of our tables dishes were prepared and that made a bit of a difference (little more soggy).

1) At the booth, you get the fish right out of the frier.
. . . there is usually a line to get food
. . . so, the food doesn't sit long before given to guest
2) At the sit-down,
. . . plated food are put under the heat lamp
. . . they wait for pickup by the server
. . . so, they mght sit for seconds or minutes
. . . fried food batter gets soggy the longer it sits
. . . especially cod or haddock batter used for fish-and-chips

I really wanted to try this place on our last WDW trip and we didn't get the opportunity to (even with two days at Epcot). I've heard so many good things about the fish and chips meal here, but the line was always so long.
