Who can resist those Disney Commercials?? Not me!!

Hi. My name is Tonya. I am a Disney fanatic. I have a love for all things Disney. My husband. Not so much. He is a little bit Disney'd out. But he gave in to one more trip before I give in and do other things. Shhh you didn't hear me say that! We have been on a "few" Disney trips. The most recent ones was July 2010 -Ty's MAW trip. This trip was so magical. Unbelieveable. There will never ever be a trip to compare to this one. I would never want it to either. The magic that happened. (you will have to read that trip report for more info;)) and then there was the Dec 2010 trip to go back and use some tickets Ty got from his MAW trip to see Kennedy Space Center. That one was kind of a flop. Cold, sick and well we wont even count that one ok?? Me and my dh will be celebrating 18yrs of marraige on this trip. And I will be celebrating my birthday. Well ok. Just being there is a good enough present for me!:woohoo: My mil will be traveling with us as she did in Dec 2010.

Which brings us to our JULY 2012 trip:banana::banana: It's sort of a redo of the Dec 2010 trip.

So with that being said our cast is:
Me-Tonya-All things Disney lover. Mickey Mouse is my favorite Character. I love camping and one day hope to camp at Fort Wilderness.

Dh-Tim-His favorite character is Goofy. He puts up with all of my Disney craziness.

Sierra-14-Her favorite charcter is Tinkerbell. She is also a Star Wars, Batman and Transformers fan. Well I would say a little more then a fan. She plays the Clarinet and loves classical music. She loves any music by John Williams.

Ty-12-His favorite character is Goofy also. He loves tools, woodworking and building things with lego's and Monster Trucks.

Linda-My mil. Her favorite character is Mickey as well.

So there you have a little bit about us.

Here is a picture of the four of us on Ty's MAW trip in 2010

Hello Disneyjunkie(love the name). Welcome to our ptr:woohoo:

Well I hope that picture somehow shrinks. I have resized it several times. I went through this with my other Ptr. I should know how to do this by now!

Sometimes the little things in life make a lifetime of memories. So when I was younger and went to WDW with my parents I got a Mickey Balloon. When Ty went on his MAW trip I had really planned on getting a balloon. Well I had planned on getting it before we left but then when it came time I figured there really wasn't a way to take it on the plane without letting the air out. So I was hoping we would go back some day and I would get that balloon. Then when we went in Dec that same year we drove down so I thought perfect I can get that balloon. When I found out how much they were I said no way I was paying that much money for a balloon. Ok so I hae regretted it ever since. So this time we will go to Magic Kingdom one of the first days so I can have the balloon. So it will be a Balloontastic Disneycation! (yes the kids can have one too)

We have our room booked at All Star Movies. We have stayed here several times and really enjoy all of the movie icons around the resort. Although I do wish the rooms were just a little bit bigger but since my mil is going as well we will have 2 rooms and therefore more storage space.

We will be flying nonstop. I am not a huge fan of flying. But after driving down the last trip that took 2 days to get there I think flying is a much better option! Just don't make me go up and down more then once:rotfl: I am pretty sure I will need to ship some things down beforehand since I keep making out the packing list it gets bigger and bigger. We will have quite a bit of medical things to ship and in our past experience with Air Tran they still count a medical luggage against you.

We have one ADR and that is for Chef Mickeys. We would really like to take MIL there but we haven't decided if we will keep it just yet.

Our park plans are to do a 3 day park hopper and spend all day at MK and AK and park hop a day at Epcot and DHS since the other two are our favorites. We will also be going to US/IOA. I just need to figure out how to get there from the resort. We are leaning toward renting a car for a day but I still need to plan out the days before I can do that.

So there is the rough run down on what our plans are so far. We need to make our countdown calendar (Ty has been working on a loop calendar) and decide whether to make t-shirts or find some to order.

This trip was supposed to be a surprise but Sierra was so heart broken with each commercial we gave in and told them:rolleyes1

So I hit the Disney Store finally:banana: I refrained from buying too much but I did find Sierra a Jack Skellington Tshirt for 5.99 and Ty a Mickey Mouse Tshirt for 2.99. I think that is a great deal. I hope to hit the bigger Disney Store before we leave. I am going to collect just a few Disney things and some other goodies and put them each in some Mickey Mouse mailers I already have. We will give those to the kids closer to the trip. Some things I plan on getting are: each kid a new game for thier dsi's, an Itunes gift card for the four of us, either purchase custome made tshirts or make some myself (I tried last time and it didn't turn out as good as I would have liked) and a new movie to watch on the plane. I think that should give us plenty to do.

What a whirlwind. We had to take an unplanned trip to Tenn as we had a sudden death in our family. Totally unexpected but we are back! Can I just say I got a crash course in packing a ton of medical things for Ty along with the rest of our things. I did it in about 3 hours:scared1: and we got on the road and how I managed to not forget anything is the question. I did speak with our hhc and they will help us by shipping some of this things down for us so that is a big relief.

Now onto our doings.. I am making my mil, myself and the kids some tshirts for our trip. Pics to come when they are finished. My mil and myself went today and got the park tickets:banana: Makes it seem so real even though the plane tickets are already purchased. The kids have already tried on all of the summer clothes so we are good to go there.

Our to do's:

Make hair apts
Make nail apts
have some yard sales!!
Plan out our days-I have a friend who is going to help with this lovely task.
Buy new shoes for all of us and get them broken in now!-A little side story. Last time dh wouldn't listen to me and break his shoes in before we left. Well he learned the hard way not to do that again!

So that's a small list for now. We are getting there. Less then 90 days!!!! But I'm not wishing it to hurry at all:rolleyes1

Still working on those shirts. They do not want to turn out so well. I think we will move on to the Tye Die shirts instead!

sounds like you guys are going to have a great time! i agree with the balloon prices- and with the fact that you have to get one. if you've been thinking about it that long then you must really want it:lmao:
did you other shirts turn out better?

I had a few shirts turn out and a few to not turn out so well. Pictures to come soon! I have a few more to try but for the most part they are all done. My mil's shirt turned out the best:thumbsup2

This week was dedicated to getting the shirts finished. I think they turned out pretty good. The term "no two are alike" is an understatement though:lmao:

Of course I gave my mil's to her before I took the pictures. I wasn't even thinking but here is ours.

They are wrinkley since I have been messing with them so much. Still need to wash them all one more time then I will pack them away.

Ok so it's slow going on here :rotfl:

We have some plans:cool1:!! So here goes

Friday-arrive
Saturday-Mk
Sunday-US
Monday-Chef Mickey's/rest/swim/shop
Tues-AK/DHS
Wed-Epcot
Thurs-May add another park day until we need to leave/Home here we come!

Yesterday we had some pretty tough storms to roll through. We were all tucked in the corner of the basement while the tornado sirens were coming. They said a funnel cloud was headed toward our house. That was a tense hour. And what do I almost grab to take with me to the basement? Our Disney plans:rotfl2: But I let them go at the last minute. Of course that was after everything/everyone else was already safe:)

Posting this to all my friends who are REAL Moms! (My dinner is being prepared, so I may have to stop and continue afterwards)!

Thinking of you!
