Any word yet about Be Our Guest?

I was speaking to a CM on the phone yesterday checking on pins, and she seemed to think that reservations would be opening soon for Be Our Guest in Fantasyland. Has anyone hear anything yet?

It was more of a customer service CM than WDW-DINE. She seemed on the ball with other things, so this did seem plausiable

Yes, the new sit down service restaurant that is part of the Fantasyland expansion. They just say Fall/Late 2012, so I am hoping that is Nov when we go.

I'm waiting to hear about this restaurant opening as well. It would mean moving a few reservations but I would be up for that. Hopefully some sort of information will be out soon.

It is only a TS for dinner. It will be a QS for lunch.

I have a feeling it's going to be two-credit too. I hope it's open for my trip this fall. At least I know it will def be open for my trip next year.

I don't trust any of the call center people because you can get multiple answers during multiple phone calls. Until there's a press release, you'll just watch the DIS because this question about Be Our Guest pops up every few days. Seriously. I think I see this question at least once a week now.

The last I've seen is "late 2012", which could mean anything. As soon as there's more information, it will be posted here. People were really quick to post when the new Art of Animation rooms were going to be available, so I trust that the news about the restaurant will post here just as quickly once info is released.

I am thinking that if it is two credits for dinner we will have CS lunch there instead. Still gets us inside to check it out but Akershus will be our main princess-y meal for this trip.

There is a LOT of anticipation surrounding this restaurant. As soon as Disney announces anything officially, it'll be all over this board and all over the Disney blogosphere. Right now there isn't anything new, and phone agents have said it will open anywhere from June to October, so I would not get terribly excited by anything a phone agent tells you. there isn't any reason for a reservations CM to know any more than a dining CM would. Many of them are in call centers, and some are not even in Florida, and they appear to get their information from Disney's own website because they very often repeat the same incorrect information that Disney sometimes puts on their website.

Menus and dining credit information are part of the details that Disney just hasn't released yet. The rumors are also back and forth as to whether there will be characters at dinner, so even the characters aren't a sure thing yet.

Me too!!!! But honestly, they could serve dog food and I would still eat there. I am so excited!!!! Beauty and the Beast is my all time favorite.

I am SO excited about this place too!!! I think it will be a 2 credit restaurant honestly. And I'm thinking it will be about as difficult to get an ADR as CRT is. Ugh.

We are planning a trip in November and am hoping it will be open. DD5 loves Beauty and the Beast and if we can eat in the Beast's Castle (doesn't matter for what meal!) she will be over the moon! I'd love if they had characters there, but if not, I suppose we'll just have to find them elsewhere. I haven't been keeping up on the FL expansion...are they still planning on Gaston's Tavern? That would be cool, too.

If only it were that easy. I have a hunch that for the first couple of years, it will be more like CRT was back in 2004-05.
