The converter I used says that is 1.988 miles per hour.
That is similar speed to the Disney park rental ECVs.

I had seen it a few days ago, but the video I saw was not very good, so I didn't post it. This one is much better.

I did find a price of around $15,000 US. Apparently, it is now only available in Turkey and they have no distributors in the US yet. It would have to be approved as a medical device in order to be sold in the US as a medical device.

I think it has lots of potential for people with the correct abilities. From what I saw, the user needs to have good upper body strength, be able to straighten the legs pretty much to normal range of motion, not have a lot of spasticity or uncontrolled movements and have good sitting balance.
That would still include a lot of people though.

My guess is that this is only useful for very flat inside surfaces. The tiny hard wheels on this wouldn't work on gravel, cobblestone, grass, and maybe not even on a rough sidewalk. I'd say any steep ramp would cause this to tip over, there just isn't any way to put enough ballast into the unit to keep it steady on a ramp as steep as the WDW buses.

Per the specs the max grade is 5% and the highest obstacle height is 3 cm(1.2 inches). So it must do better than it looks but still not as safe as a wheelchair or ECV. Plus the max weight is 198 pounds so it is limited.

BTW, does anyone else wonder about where the strap goes once you do sit on the toilet? How do you remove it and put it back if you can't stand?

I was also wondering how to use it if your spine does not stand. If I could stand up, especially as easily as the model did, I wouldn't need the rolling device at all.

It does appear that research is being done for future wheelchair replacements. That's a positive sign.

I couldn't use it either . I have difficulty standing long enough to scramble an egg, so unfortunately, this wouldn't work for me. It sure would be nice to be on eye level, though!

Another device DS can't use, since he's quad.

But it looks helpful for those who have ability to use it.

I could see how this could be modified in the future to incorporate a seat between the legs and a high back brace to hold the person in position. Looks very promising.
