Recent Dream cruisers...Ali Atar in the dining room

Hello all!
Just trying to find out the status of Ali Atar in the dining rooms. As of Oct. 2011, he was a server, and we LOVE LOVE LOVE him!
We're cruising the Dream again in August, and aren't sure he is still on the Dream and/or if he is still a server (we thought we'd heard he's a head server now).
Can you please confirm for us?

We were on the Dream in November and had a head server from Turkey named Ali, don't remember the last name though...

Yes, he was our head server on the Dream the last week of Nov-11. I recall him being one of the better head servers we have had. Hope he is who you are looking for!!

I think we had Ali for our server on the Dream last September. First thing we told him was that it was our first cruise & we were clueless. He & our assistant, Raluca, took amazing care of us. Ali was quite the hustler really working hard. He was gracious and wonderful, full of great info for us. Loved him. He mentioned he was aiming for Head Server. Cool to hear he made it. Ali certainly deserves it. I'd love to have him as part of our wait staff again.

We were lucky enough to get Ali as our server on our first Magic cruise in Jan. 2010. He was awesome, and our dds specifically said they would miss him the most of all the CMs on the ship. I actually wrote a letter to DCL about him. Then, we returned to the Magic in Jan. 2011, and requested him. He was once again AWESOME!!!
Then...since we evidently received some pixie dust, on our Oct. 2011 3 night Dream cruise, we went to the dining room, and THERE HE WAS!!! And, he was our server! I had not requested him, as I didn't know he had transferred to the Dream! It was so great!
Our children just think he is the greatest thing ever, so I am happy to know that we will see him again in August. I will definitely request him as our head server on both of our B2B cruises!

Ali was our Head Server on the Dream in February. He was very kind to us when our daughter kept falling asleep at dinner (late seating) every night. He even came over and sang happy birthday to her at breakfast the last morning because she never stayed awake for dessert! So charming!

Yes, we just saw Ali last Wed in Cabana's. He remembered us from our cruise last year when he was our head server. He was the best head server we had had until this cruise...then we had Pascal from France and WOW!! He blew all of them out of the water!! He was at our table multiple times every night making sure everything was okay and we had one of the best servers on the ship (seriously)! Pascal brought dishes from another restaurant of his own choosing that he wanted us to try! He was OUTSTANDING!!!
But it was nice to see Ali again and cool that he recognized us!!

He was Head Server on our PC cruise (Wonder '11) and was fantastic, even in the face of a not-so-great serving team he was working with One of our favourite cast members. He was on the Dream during our cruise last year, but sadly wasn't our Head Server (although our team for that cruise was great). Hope to have him again sometime.

Hey all!

Just saw this post and wanted to let you all know that Ali is still with Disney Cruise Lines. We actually just got to spend the week with him last week aboard the Fantasy. He was recently moved their from the Dream until his vacation between contracts begins at the beginning of June. My daughter absolutely adores him and we have been lucky to have seen him now on 3 of our 5 cruises. We consider him a family friend now and can say with certainty that if you are lucky to get to meet him, he will make your vacation that much more magical. Ali is the greatest!!!

We had Ali from Turkey on our first cruise on the Magic in 2009. He was the best!!!! Someone post a picture of him please!!!

Yes, I just saw him last week on the Fantasy as a Head Server. Did not have him as our Head Server, wish we sould have.

He was Head Server to Marlon and Cristian (server/assistant server) on our 2/23 Eastern on Fantasy - they were perfect.
I found the service at our breakfasts/lunches to be very nearly as good - line and management deserve to be acknowledged for that high-level consistency!

We had him as our head server for our Easter cruise. He was great with my children. Kept drawing pictures of himself on the cloth table cloths. My kids were shocked that it was okay to draw on them.

We had Ali on our Dec 2011 cruise. He was the BEST! My son has some food allergies and he went out of his way to make sure my son had exactly what he wanted to eat and that it was safe for him.

We were on the Dream last month and we didn't see him. Looks like he has moved to the Fantasy.

He was our head server on the fantasy for our December 2013 cruise. Best head server ever. He sang on my birthday and when he found out my daughter and I love chicken tikka masala he made sure and got it for us. I am going to try and request him for our Dec 13th cruise on the fantasy this year. I know of people who have requested him

Ali was our head server on the dream 9/25-28/14 ...he was from Turkey as well if this is the same gentleman..he was wonderful! He was an older distinguished gent... The best head server we have had so far on Disney.
