A Mother-Daughter Trip! Now with BONUS BIRTHDAY Trip! (Final Thoughts Coming Soon!)

Have you started thinking about the cruise & what kind of things y'all want to do on it? :confused3
No! I'm very unmotivated right now. :confused3 I think maybe I will start a PTR this coming weekend so maybe you all can post and help me figure out how you "plan" for a cruise!

Funny, I found myself with far less to read this weekend. :confused3

How have you girls been?
:rotfl2: I worked most of the weekend. :headache: How was your weekend?

I have to say I had a really nice weekend, although it went by way too fast. Yesterday, I spent the day with my best friend scrapbooking at a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. And today, I lounged around the house with my husband & son. We washed my car, had a water fight with the hose & didn't do much else!

My day to make ADRs is fast approaching (April 2nd). I was thinking of starting my PTR in August (we leave Sept 28th) but I'm wondering if I should just go ahead & start it already. :confused3
That sounds like a great weekend, Amanda!!!

Oh, wow, ADR time!!!!! What are you thinking?? If you start a PTR, post a link here so that we can all join in. :woohoo:

I think Savannah would be really nice too...tink of how easily you and Willow could drive to WDW.....another vote for a cruise TR.....I really have enjoyed your TR!!!!
Thanks so much! Yes, Savannah would be lovely, wouldn't it??? I will definitely do a cruise TR - have had WAY too much fun doing this one to pass up doing another!

Well I hope you still up date us from time to time :thumbsup2. I am dying to hear how the job search is going and cannot wait to hear about the cruise :goodvibes. And how is Miss Willow? :)

Amanda -- sounds like you had a wonderful weekend:thumbsup2. I was at a conference all weekend and it was great -- but I must say it is nice to become again!
Hey there! We are doing well - crazy busy. I think I will start a cruise PTR this weekend. :woohoo: Where was your conference?

Sounds like a nice weekend!

What ADRs are you hoping to get? PTR me ASAP!!:rotfl:

We had a productive weekend. Went to a girl friend's bridal shower. Got all of our junk priced for the garage sale we're having this weekend, and made list upon list trying to decide what houses we'd like to see on our first (of only 2) chances to look at houses. (ours sold BTW!!)

Work all weekend??? BLeghh. Cruise PTR this weekend? YAY!!

Thank you....it was a really nice weekend!

Did you at least get to go anywhere fun for your conference?

No! I'm very unmotivated right now. :confused3 I think maybe I will start a PTR this coming weekend so maybe you all can post and help me figure out how you "plan" for a cruise!

Yes! Start up your PTR for the cruise! :yay: We can talk about things to do on the boat, excursions....all that good stuff!

That sounds like a great weekend, Amanda!!!

Thank you....it really was! I don't get to see my best friend too often....she lives almost 2hrs away from me & is very busy. So, it was a lot of fun spending a whole day scrapbooking with her. And I always enjoy time with my boys. :goodvibes

Oh, wow, ADR time!!!!! What are you thinking?? If you start a PTR, post a link here so that we can all join in. :woohoo:

Thank you for saying I can post my PTR link here. I think I will start it up tomorrow night & then I'll come back & post the link.

I need to re-work a few of our ADRs before Monday. The ones I'm most anxious about getting are Ohana (dinner & breakfast) & Crystal Palace (before park opening).

Congrats on your house selling!!! :dance3: Selling a house is so stressful...I know y'all must be relieved. Although, it sounds like you'll have to do some fast house hunting. I'll send some pixie dust y'alls way that you find the perfect house for your family. pixiedust:

Okay, I think y'all have convinced me to go ahead & start my PTR! :goodvibes I'm going to get it started tomorrow night & then I'll post the link here. I just need to think of a catchy title for it. I'm so bad at those kind of things. :sad2:

No need for a catchy title...we'll be there amanda...no matter what

I'll be on board (punny!) for both PTRs, no need for clever titles. Can't wait ladies!

Amanda started her report! :cool1:

My conference was in Philadelphia -- it was very productive and I was also able to manage some fun so all in all a weekend well spent! Only problem is the waves of exhaustion -- do you think anyone will notice if I crawl under my desk for a nap?

So.... When do we get the Willow and Mom ptr? ;)

Work all weekend??? BLeghh. Cruise PTR this weekend? YAY!!
:scared1: I am working this weekend too!!!! Seriously - I left the private sector because I was going to be a parent and wanted at least SOME time with my child every day, and now I'm working every weekend? I'll take back that 2/3 of my income I gave up for the "family-friendly life style" please! :rotfl2:

I will start my PTR tomorrow! I have NO CLUE how to do a PTR especially because I have no idea what I'm going to do to plan for the cruise. But I guess that is what all of you will help me figure out, right?????

Yes! Start up your PTR for the cruise! :yay: We can talk about things to do on the boat, excursions....all that good stuf

Amanda! I am counting on you to help me figure out what I should be doing pre-cruise!!!! :scared1:  I will say that I am suddenly feeling much more cruise-happy now that I paid off half of it this week. Funny how that works! :woohoo:

Wow - we really loved CP despite how sick and sleep-deprived I was. I was just so touched by how much Willow loved it. She had never shown a ton of interest in the Pooh characters before, but she was SO into meeting them and made the most of that last-day breakfast. I hope you get what you want! I think you know that I am one of the few DIS'ers who is not a big Ohana fan, but I would like to try the breakfast. We have only done the dinner before. I hope you get what you want!!! And I intend to be posting like mad on your PTR!!!!!! :woohoo:

I am old - I have no illusions that I can come up with anything clever again - at least not while I'm being bested on a daily basis by a 5-year-old smarty-pants!!!! :headache:

Oh, I love Philly! Haven't been there in years but used to visit a now-ex boyfriend there quite frequently. ;)

 I hope to start a hopefully-not-too-lame PTR tomorrow. Working again this weekend though :sad2:, so crossing my fingers I can fit it in. I will need all of you to follow me over to the cruise board because I don't think I have it in me to garner much of an audience - I have done NO planning!!!! :scared1::rotfl2:

I will be more than happy to help with your cruise planning! Getting close to paying off vacations always makes them more exciting!

I am very excited to do our ADRs Monday morning. It'll be interesting to see what I end up with. I'm going on over to my PTR since I think I saw you posted there! You have to let me know when you start up your cruise PTR!

Okay, Amanda, you talked me into it - I just started my PTR (linked in my signature). I have no idea what I'm doing! :rotfl2:

Headed over to your PTR to see what details are unfolding. Can't believe you are set to make ADRs on Monday!!!! :woohoo:

Hi Girls! :wave2:

I can't wait for the cruise PTR, been hanging out on Amanda's already. If you guys are interested, I just continued my TR by tacking the PTR on the end, so it's still up and running!

I too am bested by a 5 year old on a daily basis. The worst one? I once told had this conversation with her "Mommy, how do you know that?" "Because Mommys know everything Mads"

Which inevitably led to the one of several versions of the same conversation that we now have almost daily "What dress does my princess want to wear to [imaginary event being planned in a little girls head]?" "I don't know Maddie, (because I will never, ever get the right answer) what do you think that she wants to wear?" "Mooommmmy, of course you know 'a cause Mommys know everything!" Yup. I did it, and it's all my fault. :lmao:

Have you ladies watched "Being Elmo"? I'm finally getting around to watching it tonight. I'm enjoying it, but I had heard that it was AMAZING so that always leads to a bit of a let down...

I love Philly too, but does anyone else find it difficult to navigate downtown? Maybe I'm too used to Chicago. :confused3

and P.S.

Bleeecchhhh to working more weekends! I hope that things calm down for you soon.

Hooray for the cruise being close to paid off!

I can't wait until you plan for it, that way if we ever do one--I'll already know exactly what to do!

You ladies rock!

---lots of exclamations from me tonight. I must be excitable.:cool2:

I'm so excited about ADRs on Monday. I probably won't be able to sleep Sunday night!

I'm off to check your report out as well! With all 3 of us doing reports, we should have lots to talk about! :goodvibes

Don't you hate it when the things you tell your kid backfire on you? I do it all the time with Reid! :rotfl2:

Thanks for heading over there!

You know at the end of Grease when Frenchie says "the whole gang's back together again!"? That's how I feel with all the TRs going on tonight! :lmao:

Can't wait to hear how Monday goes for you!

Those darn kids never forget anything! (except what they want to forget :rolleyes1)

 Love the Grease quote! And you're so right!

I'm excited to see my ADR results on Monday. Of course, I'm going to have to reveal them to y'all slowly since I'll have over 5 months to kill. :lmao:

Reid doesn't forget ANYTHING! It's unreal!

Ok, I really am heading over to your report now....

Hey there!!!! I totally suck - I meant to check out your extended TR-now-featuring-a-PTR long ago - my life has just been irritatingly busy lately. I will try to get caught up tonight and tomorrow!!!!

Love the Maddie story! I feel like I've lived it a few times..... :rotfl2:

and P.S.

Bleeecchhhh to working more weekends! I hope that things calm down for you soon.

Yep - I worked 6.5 hours today. On a Saturday. As a government employee. Seriously can't believe I gave up 2/3 of my income for this fewer-hours life style. :headache:  At least it is not always like this! Has to end soon - it's not fair to Willow.

Thankfully, we are taking a 4-day weekend next weekend to head over to Portland (one of my favorite cities) to see Wicked. I cannot wait!!!!! :woohoo:

Yay! I'm so excited you started your PTR! :woohoo: Don't worry - I don't know what I'm doing either! :lmao:

:rotfl2: I never sleep well before ADR morning. Part of that is because I have to be on the phone by 6 a.m. West Coast time in order to compete the East Coasters! :rotfl2:

For anyone who is interested, please check out my signature for a link to my cruise PTR - I can't guarantee that it will be remotely exciting since I don't fully understand the concept of a PTR, but at the very least, I can promise that we can continue our DIS-related chatting there! :hippie:

WHAT??!! Over?!?? :sad2: I so enjoyed following along on your back to back trips. You accomplished two things for me....I'm now interested in Disney Land and have now changed my mind about the BWV.:thumbsup2

You did a great job with the pictures and really captured your trip memories. Willow will look at those for years to come. Now y'all can focus on the cruise!! :dance3: I look forward to following along on the next TR.

Have a Happy Easter Weekend!!
Heather
