Cape May Cafe (diner) transportation

Hello! So the "arrival" day I'd like to get diner reservations for Cape May since we'll be hungry and we will not be visiting any park that day (our airplane lands at 3.30pm). How I can get and return to the Beach Club??? Any ideas??We'll not be having a car and I'm trying not to spend on a taxi in Disney property. Thanks

The quickest way is a taxi but you can also take the bus to DHS and then either walk or take the boat. The walk is 20 minutes, same as boat ride. If you take the boat, you want to get off at the Yacht Club marina and walk to Beach Club which is right next to YC (YC is grey, BC is blue).

Where are you staying??? That will make a difference. But in any case, if your plane lands, ontime, at 3:30, you won't be at your resort (assuming you are staying onsite) until at least 5pm. I wouldn't make any dinner plans much before 7pm...and again, that will depend on what resort you are staying at.

Since you do not plan on entering any park on your arrival day, it seems your only choice as you do not wish to use a taxi would be to head to DTD then bus it to BC. Be forewarned the bus from DTD to BC tends to take quite a while even many who stay in the Epcot resorts will take a taxi back to their resort instead of the bus so allow plenty of time 2-2 1/2 hours to get to the BC if going by bus from DTD.

You could take the Bus to DHS and either walk or take the boat or you could take the bus to Down Town Disney and get a Beach Club bus from there.

Thank you all, I think that day I'll take the first bus I see for Hollywood studios or Downtown disney.

I'm staying at POP :)

In all reality, take the bus to DHS. If you take the bus to DTD, it's going to be much, much longer. You have to get the bus to DTD, which can take awhile to show up, then the ride to DTD. Then off the bus and another wait...could be close to 30 mins before a bus to YC/BC shows up.
Just take the bus to DHS and then either walk or boat over to BC. If there is a boat there, loading as you approach the dock, then take the boat. BUT..if the boat is just pulling away, or you don't see one coming into the dock, just walk. The path is easy to find...walk out of the park area, parking lot on your right, canal on your left. You will see a slope, with signage to Boardwalk. That's where you want to go. When you get to the end of the sidewalk, behind BW's rear entrance, go left, towards the bridge..then once on the bridge, go right, towards YC/BC.

Also....a cab between Pop and BC will run you under $10. We took a cab back from YC, to Pop, and it was about $10, including tip. Just so you know. You may want to just head back to Pop without all the bus hassle.

Remember that if you miss the reservation at Cape May it will cost you $10 per person.

I would not book a reservation with a credit card hold on your arrival day. Not only are you flying internationally, but any flight delay could seriously affect your ability to get there on time. Pick a restaurant that does not have a credit card hold for your first night, so it won't cost you if you miss it.

Excellent thought...thanks for reminding us.

Thank you everybody for the awesome tips!

You could also take the bus to MK and then catch the bus to Beach Club. But honestly, the taxi will be less than $20 and it would make getting to dinner much faster.

Unfortunately, this is not good advice. The Magic Kingdom is a good transfer point if you are going from or to one of the MK resorts. It's way out of the way for this itinerary.

Pop, Hollywood Studios and Beach Club are all in the same general vicinity. DHS is a much better transfer point for this trip.
