We are arriving on Aug. 10. We will be arriving too late to rent a car from the Swan. We are definitely taking the Magical Express from the airport to the resort. We loved that.

We are arriving late afternoon and will be staying in the Pop Century for one night. The following morning we are getting up and heading to the Magic Kingdom. We will then be staying at BLT's for the remainder of the trip. We will either get the rental car that day or the next

We definitely want a car. We like the monorail, and we don't mind the boats, but we hate the buses.

I was just wondering if anyone else has any feedback or experiences with any other car rental places besides the one right in the swan and dolphin. It was fine and pretty easy, but I always try to get all of the info. We will be keeping it for about a week. We are members of DVC, AAA, Entertainment book, and will be buying an AP. Not sure if this helps. Looking for a decent price, but the most important thing is as little inconvenience as possible.

If you'll be at BLT, you may want to consider renting through Alamo/National and getting the car at the Car Care Center...right outside the entrance to MK. They do provide a shuttle for you...call them the day prior to rental and they will pick you up the next day.

There are rental companies based in some of the DTD hotels...Budget, for instance, is at the Doubletree. They also sometimes provide shuttle service.

I'd go for the Car Care Center (Alamo/National) as well. Sometimes their rates are better than the Swan/Dolphin.

The way it works is you make your reservation online, as usual (of course, use the CCC as the rental location). One day before you pick up the car, you have to call the Alamo CCC location and tell them you'd like to be picked up at Pop and about what time. They will come to Pop and bring you over to the CCC.

I assume you'd also return the car to the CCC. In that case, you drop the car and they'll shuttle you back to BLT or one of the parks, if you like.
