Gee I hope things settle down out there and don't cause us delays or cancellations!!!!:scared1:

I realize that you are excited for your trip and I hope you don't have any problems, but let's put this in perspective - people are dying in those storms!

I hope things settle down for you and others too.
Good luck getting out and enjoy your vacation.:goodvibes

I wouldn't be overly worried from a traveling perspective tomorrow, there may be delays in connecting cities like Charlotte and Atlanta, but if you have a direct flight, connection in NYC metro, PA, or non-mid Altantic city you will most likely have limited issues.

I don't mean to be insensitive, but people die everyday, from major car accidents, war, etc. Yet, most days we all live our lives as happy as the next. These are tragic events, but it doesn't mean we stop living our lives.

Yes, I am excited for my trip, I've saved and planned for 2 years. I posted this worry from work and on the news they were reporting bad winds to be arriving.

I didn't realize it was a storm system coming from the Southern States and the degree of destruction going on, sorry if my post bothered you, here in Canada we very rarely get these types of weather conditions where I live... wind was reported and that's what I was concerned with.

I feel terrible for all the people losing their homes and what they've had to go thru.

jelo, I hope you were able to get out this morning. Somehow I am doubting it.:sad2:
I'm very close to Buffalo and I woke at 5:30 because the wind is so loud I couldn't sleep anymore. I would easily say we're getting gusts of 100km per hour right now. Hopefully it doesn't last long.

And feel free to post about your travel concerns. After all this is the TRANSPORTATION board, on a DISNEY FORUM and it is specifically for travel concerns and questions..not for being shamed :rolleyes1

Not sure what flight the OP was on but the 6:10am Southwest flight was only 9 minutes late leaving. The 9:35am was 5 minutes late. Unless there is a hurricane or tornado in the airport area, high winds usually don't delay flights. And they can fly around storms once in the air.

Good to hear:)

It is so gusty out there we've had to rescue our bbq which is on a recessed covered porch that is mostly blocked from the wind. We are right beside the lake though so we may have it a little worse here.

Checked DirectAir out of Niagara Falls, New York as that is the airline we are using on our next two trips. They have 3 flights today and 2 were and still are delayed (one was supposed to fly at 9:30 this morning).

It's still very very windy here today.
