I don't see the issue with this. I think it is great and very nice of you to offer your time and resources to do this!.. I have toyed with the idea of order a few, but just have been lazy about deciding which ones. I haven't seen that is has been an issue with most people on this thread. I say continue to post!

Ditto I may not have ordered any t-shirts, only because I promised DH I wouldn't buy another thing for this cruise. I do enjoy seeing them though. Very creative designs.

Ice cream sandwiches won't work as a substitute for us...flour allergy. I am glad my daughter hasn't been reading the DisBoards lately she needs to concentrate on getting well not being mad at not having her Mickey bars It is a bummer enough as an adult not to have the great desserts after dinner and depend on the ice cream Mickeys, but to lose any option of dessert would royally suck!

Yes, I agree you should not just assume it is ok. They have new people working in Special Requests and we had major issues with our October events.

Alan and anyone else annoyed - I apologize if my posting offers to order tee-shirts with images and the banner images seemed to monopolize the boards. It won't happen again.

Mickey Bars - I have not yet gotten a reply from DCL as to whether this is a supplier shortage (???????????) or change on DCL's part. I cannot imagine if I were a supplier with this large of an account that I would not meet the demand. It's ice cream for pete's sake!

Rumors over on the DCL threads that they will not be having Mickey Bars anymore! I'm going to send an email to DCL to ask about this. More important than pins, IMHO!!!!!

Not that I eat them (I don't like ice cream), but it wouldn't be the same to take Mum an empty "generic" ice cream bar wrapper when she's not feeling well!

I have just been to Disney World, and I *will have been* to DL by then so will have a complete set of park maps and information for you.

I can get you a set (if no one else has already volunteered)

Thank you both - an extra set would always be handy - I often have friends going to one or other park so its nice to be able to hand them a set - even if they are outdated.

I can help with this, I can get it locally for $NZ24.99, that works out at today's rate at $US20.96. Not sure if it will work out cheaper if one of our Australian cruiser's can help - the US$ is weaker against the Australian$ at the moment so that might make it cheaper buying it in NZ?

Let me know if you want me to get it for you - you can Paypal or we can arrange to meet onboard as I'll happy with US$ - I can pop it on my stateroom account

Could be Terrie (Calypso726). She just started organizing a Champagne Girls event a couple weeks ago for the MV of the Fantasy.

OH, that's got to be it! He's confusing the two events that are on different cruises. He wrote back after I explained that there could be more than one and he asked when we would like to have it. I told him Thurs 5/3 from 2-4pm and my second choice is Wed 5/2 from 2-4pm. We'll see if he can find a place big enough for all of us. I have not heard back yet. I'll let you all know as soon as I do.

When I wrote and told him that it could be on another cruise and then I told him what cruise I was on.....he responded with, "What date do you want?" So that was probably it.

Nothing much to report from this part of the pacific, today is the first day of Autumn and we seem to have completely missed summer this year - sigh!

but, its 57 days until we leave for LA... yay!

My FIL isn't improving, they have stopped the physio as its just too painful for him and he doesn't have the energy. So sad. He's in a lot of pain and I just keep thinking if he was a beloved pet, you would do the kind thing when the quality of life is so deminished.

Yesterday I had, should I call it a "dismounting malfunction" on my bike? I was biking along a road with a lot of road works so I for a short distance, I was on the foot path. I came to the end of the path and it was a curb without a slope so as my bike isn't designed for "offroading" I thought I'd get off, cross the road on foot and carry on. As I was getting off my bike, there must have been shingle on the path, my foot slipped from under me and I twisted my ankle and landed on my knees on the nearly laid shingle road.

So grazed knees and a badly sprained ankle. I had it xrayed this morning and its not broken. Dr has given me two days off work for r'n'r as I need to keep it elevated and iced.

It really needs to get better fast as I'm going to Sydney on Saturday for the Mardi Gras Parade. I've been looking forward to this weekend since I booked it a year ago. I'll go, even if I have to hop around Sydney slowly... Unfortuately, I'll probably not have the shopping spree I was also hoping to have. But at least I can still go.

And finally, a question. Is anyone at or going to WDW before we cruise? I would dearly like a set of park maps for my brother and SIL who are trying to decide between DL and WDW next year. Thought it might be good for them to see what the differences are between the two.

I haven't finished catching up on the new thread yet, Paula, so if you have an offer to get the maps already that's great...if not we'll be there in 2 weeks and I can get you park maps. Just let me know.
