Best hotels off I-95 in South Carolina

I have been on this forum before and I know I have read recommendations for hotels off I-95 but I cannot seem to locate a thread right now. Looking for a safe area to stay off I-95 when we drive back up north after visiting Disney. I think we will stop someplace in SC, possibly Savannah GA. Any recommendations or anywhere to steer clear of?

Savannah exit 104 has a large number of nice hotels to choose from, and a decent selection of dining options as well. It's just over 300 miles from WDW.

When we have had to split up the drive, that is where we stop.

Where are you traveling to, and how far home do you want to get before stopping?

Your post said SC in the title, but then you were talking about GA in your post - that's why I didn't answer - I couldn't figure out where you were trying to stop. (I see now you said Savannah and see on the map that's almost SC - didn't realize that until I looked at the map.)

When we stop overnight, it's always in SC because that's about 1/2 way for us. I couldn't imagine stopping in GA, because it seems so close to FL. But that is obviously dependent on how far you are traveling.

We have stayed numerous times at:
Best Western Executive Inn in Latta, SC.
and some others I can't remember right now.

On our upcoming trip, we will be staying:
Comfort Suites, Florence, SC which got a lot of good reviews on TripAdvisor.
and
Country Inns & Suites, Florence, SC - we like the Country Inns chain.

Thank you! On the way down from MD we drive through. On the way back we stay in Disney until afternoon and start driving back. Last time we didnt leave until 5pm so we stopped in Savannah. This time we hope to leave by about 2 or 3 pm so we will be in SC most likely when we want to stop. We wont make it to NC. We are a family of 4 w 2 young girls so we r looking for someplace safe and nice.

We've stopped at the Microtel in Walterboro, that's about an hour away from Savannah. We've also stayed a few times in Florence and almost all the hotels there are nice.

I'll echo the Country Inn and Suites. We always have had good luck and very friendly service there. One time, we were the only family NOT attending a large family reunion there. It was a very fun and festive atmosphere, that's for sure!
