Western Caribbean Cruise out of Galviston

Ok, all the talk about Mexico tourists on a ship excersion getting robbed is worrying me. We are looking at the above cruise for next spring & my parents are already panicing about porting in Mexico (but its one of the least expensive cruises)..... Tell me its safe!

We are going in Sept on this cruise. Safety has never been a concern on these cruises. We went on the Dream in May and loved it. As long as you stay in the group and not wonder off alone, you will be fine.
