Planning for December 2013!?!?

Yay! We've just decided we're heading back to Disney in December 2013! It will be seven years since our last visit in December 2006. Anyone else planning on a December 2013 trip! I know it's a long ways off, but it's still exciting! :cheer2:

We are also going in December 2013! We are going to be in Disneyworld for a couple days before going on a Disney Cruise. I am so excited I cant wait. We have never been for the holidays so we are looking forward to this!!!! Do you know where you are staying yet?

Awesome! Yes, we do know where we are staying. We plan on staying at Disney's Pop Century again. We stayed there last time and really liked it and we found it very reasonably priced. We don't need anything elaborate seeing as we're in the parks all day everyday! We've gone this time of year our previous two times. It's SO nice! It's not unbelievably hot and there is basically no lines on any of the rides!

I am not quite sure where we will be. Maybe POP or perhaps ASMU. Just depends on whichever is least expensive at the time. Have you done DHS and seen the Osbourne light display? I really want to see this. We will be there from 12/11/12 to 12/14/12 then we will board the Fantasy:banana:

We are planning to be there too! We will most likely stay at ASMu in a family suite as there are 5 of us. We have never been during the holidays and are really looking forward to it.

We went last month with our granddaughters and can't wait to go back.

Count us in too :cool1: DH and I just got back and i'm already planning the next trip! We're planning on going December 1-7 and we're looking at staying at POFQ. We've never been at Christmas so I'm planning on doing everything: MVMCP, Candlelight Processional, Osbourne lights and resort touring :goodvibes Hopefully all of Fantasyland will be finished by then too *fingers crossed* I'm glad to know I'm not the only one planning this far out :lmao:

I am soooo looking forward to the fantasyland expansion being done. I am going this May, but I know not much (if anything) will be open. They keep saying Dumbo and the Great Goofini will be open, but from the pics on the expansion thread it just doesnt look like it will be.:confused3

Yes, we have seen the Osborne Lights. They are pretty nice! As for any first time early December visiters - IT'S AMAZING! perfect time to go. right before the Christmas rush.

We were looking into Disney property hotels that would fit 5, as there is 5 of us going as well, but we wanted two bedrooms, so our daughter and her husband could have their own room. We couldn't find anything for a price we wanted to pay, so we're going to try to get two connecting rooms at POP. Which is fine, because we really LOVE POP.
:yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:

We are also going to stay at ASMu. What week are you guys going to be down there?

I am hoping for a Dec '13 trip. We will be going on our first family WDW visit in exactly one month from today (glad that it is a short month :woohoo:). I'm gonna wait until the sticker shock has worn off and the pixi dust is flying before I mention it. pixiedust:

Dec 16-22, 2013 for me and my friend! Staying at the Cont. I'm thinking that I may get an ap because of the special deals that pop up around then for pass holders. Plus, i'm thinking of possibly going spring break 2014, so saves some money from buying too many tickets.

We stayed at the Hilton last December (2011) and LOVED IT! Not very crowded, and the MVMCP was fun. Any ideas based on previous years if there will be free dining? I really need to stretch every dollar for this next year =/

Anyone else coming from SYR-MCO? I was wondering if it's better to take the morning B6 flight and arrive mid-day, or take the evening B6 flight and just take the first day to unpack and reap in the extra meals for the night

I am flying from Syracuse to Orlando. We always fly in the morning because we want as much time as we can get in Florida:) But we are also going on a Disney Cruise after the parks, so we are trying to utilize as much time visiting the parks as possible. I cant imagine what airfare is going to cost us in 2013 from Syracuse. It is so expensive to fly from here. Might be cheaper to fly out of Rochester or Buffalo.

Yea, I've noticed that. I remember in 2010 it used to only be $99 each way on JetBlue nonstop. They never have those special offers for Syracuse either, it's only ever the bigger airports. But, It's cheaper than flying from BGM, and it saves the cash I would spend going to ROC or BUF. The name of the game when flying from Syracuse is booking as soon as possible. I've seen prices the lowest on the day that they were released. But that's where trueblue jumps in and saves some cash from their credit card.

Now, If the dining details is a little fuzzy to me. Say I stay 6 days/5 nights and get the quick service plan. Will I get 12 snacks/12 qs meals, or will i get 10 snacks/10 qs meals. And would it be worth it to just spend another night and leave in the morning to get the extra meals from that night?

Hi everyone! I willl also be in WDW in December. I am going with my BFF Disneydiva16. I cant wait to go at Christmas time. I went once when I was younger at that time of year, but I really cant remember much of that trip.
I also will be flying out of Syracuse, unless it would be cheaper to drive at that point:scared1:

Yea... We did that when we went last December... Took 19 hours and we stayed in a homewood suite in Charlotte. The only reason we did that is because we had enough Hilton Honors points to get the night free... Usually, it ends up being cheaper to fly if you bring in the fact that you will need a hotel room. Prices so far aren't tooo terrible from the forecast. That is, if gas prices dont drive it up again. Last year prices hit $300+tax at base price. Right now, its staying around $220+tax depending which flight you choose.

It made me altar how long I'm staying down there. I'm staying in a tower room at the Cont December 16-22, instead of the 16-28. Unless i can get a raise, I may have to keep it at that =/

I ordered mickey and minnie santa hats from the Disney store and they came in the mail already. They are very cute. I think I am more excited about this trip than the one I have planned for May:)
