Lindsay & Ryan's Wishes PJ 10/25/13 **Planning Session TR Pt 4! 5/21/13**

Wow... What a post! hehe But sometimes I do wonder about some of the Disney Employees! You'd think they would be all about happiness and customer service seeing as people want the disney package!

One of the reasons we ended up choosing not to get married at Disney, was because we scheduled a walk round the pavilion with an employee over the phone, and they didn't show! We even rang up and asked where this person was they said they had forgotten!!! :headache:

Needless to say we booked another appointment with a lady when we got home, took all our family down there...in the RAIN!!! and again! The show round was no where to be seen! I was embarrassed because I had booked the app, when we called up again they said were really sorry nobody of that name works here!!!! WHAT DO YOU DO WITH THAT??? LOL

Any way... At least you got it sorted... It would be good if you could remember her name I think she needs TELLING OFF!!!!

hehe.. Oooo sorry about the mini rant! lol

Muchos Love!!!!

that is a lot of the reason that some brides choose to move on from DFTW to Swan and Dolphin or even at home weddings. They just don't want to deal with unpredictability of DFTW. I am glad that it worked out for you and I hope that things continue to work well for you.

Wow! I'm sorry that happened to you! Well, everything happens for a reason so I know your wedding will be amazing in the venue you've chosen.

I'm glad things worked out..

They definitely did work out. Thanks!

That makes a lot of sense. Hopefully, that unpredictability doesn't come up again for me or any other Disney brides. I am such a believer in the Disney "magic" and I hope that's all we get from here on out.

Thanks so much for reading! I'm so happy to have real readers! You guys rock! :cloud9:

Happy Friday, lovely readers!!!

So, my project over this week has been to get my official "will you be my bridesmaid?" cards out. We initially were going to have 4 bridesmaids and 4 groomsmen but recently upped the count to 7 because I just couldn't bare not having 3 of my best girlfriends in the wedding! So, here are my 7 girls at a glance:

MOH: Courtney - college roommate and best friend
BM: Kate - my sister
BM: Elizabeth - DF's sister
BM: Kellie - best friend from high school
BM: Ashley - best girlfriend from college
BM: Jessica - best girlfriend from college
BM: Rachel - best girlfriend from college

As you can see, I have a lot of "best" friends. I'm a lucky girl! I'm actually excited to have what some people consider a big wedding party. That's kind of how I always imagined it and I am so excited to be able to celebrate with all of these lovely ladies. I mean, Steel Magnolias IS one of my inspirations and that wedding had NINE bridesmaids so I'm close! Anway...

I decided to DIY my bridesmaid requests seeing as I looked all over to find a card or something I could just buy and NOTHING felt right! Etsy had some really nice cards and things like that but nothing felt personal enough so I figured what's more personal than something I made myself? I found a cute and pretty straight-forward project online and went and got the materials in my colors and voila! Instead of telling you all about them, I'll just show you.

Here's how the card looks when you take it out of the envelope.

I LOVE bunting and was so excited to find this DIY idea! I'm pretty happy with how they turned out. :)

This is what the card behind the bunting says.

Here are all 7 once they were DONE!

The only materials I needed were cardstock and scrapbook paper in my colors, hemp (the original project suggested twine), a printer, and adhesive. The website provided the printouts for the bunting and the back card!

This is the patterned paper I used for the back of the bunting. It's hard to tell in the picture but it had a very blush and pewter feel. :)

Finally, I really wanted to send a little gift to my girls as a sweet gesture. I initially wanted to send them each a couple of French macarons but, since they all live at least 3 hours away, I didn't want to deal with shipping them. Luckily, I stumbled upon these ADORABLE headbands in MY COLORS! So, I sent them each one wrapped in pink tulle with a little tag on it that says "Bridesmaids are the ultimate accessory..."

I'm a big gift giver so with that and the card I am really happy with the final product. I mailed them all on Valentine's Day and have heard from 2 so far. They said yes!!!

Love the way you are asking your girls!! I'm sure they will all love it! I have 8 girls and I love having them all! :goodvibes

Yay for getting a consultant assigned and setting up your site visit! We got engaged 8 months out so we did the initial process pretty quickly, but we also got some conflicting information. If one person tells you no, always ask again! Can't wait for more!

Ahh! Everything is super cute! I love the cards-- you did a great job!

Yay! Thank you!

Thanks! I'm jealous of how quick your process was! I really appreciate your advice about asking questions. I tend to be afraid of being pushy but I think that's something I'm going to need to work on (especially with DFTW!).

Good news! All 7 of my BMs got their packages and said yes! It's exciting to officially have all of my girls and now I can start getting them up to date on the wedding plans. Just for fun, I thought I'd show you their pretty faces. :cutie:

Here's my MOH, Courtney (left), and I. Why, yes, we were drinking around the world at EPCOT!

I don't know how I missed the Bridesmaid cards, but they are SUPER cute! I am so glad that they all said yes!!

Just joining in! I love your proposal story, and I LOVE your costumes for MNSSHP! You guys seem like so much fun! Can't wait to follow along. :goodvibes

Our Site Visit is scheduled for Friday, March 16th and we're making a mini trip out of it so we can use the last day on a 3-day park hopper we used back in October. The wedding is a great excuse to go to WDW! I'll post more of my thoughts about the site visit itself before we go but I wanted to share a little bit of general trip planning with you all. I'm a huge vacation planner (no matter where we're going) and Disey is no exception, even though I've been there many, many times. I feel like we won't maximize our time there if we go in with no plan of action! So, here are our plans so far!

Friday: Travel, Site Visit, Resort Hopping

-First, we're going to get up early and make the 3ish hour drive to
Orlando. DF know's we never sleep late on Disney days!

-Check in at POR. I like to check things off of my "things I haven't
done at Disney" list each time we go and we've never stayed at any
of the moderate resorts before so, check!

-Lunch (where?!)

-Drive to GF for our Site Vist from 1-3pm

-After the site visit, explore the Grand Floridian. I've never really
spent any time there so I am so excited to see it in person!

-Take the monorail over to the Poly and explore some more!

-Monorail to the Contemporary and explore, again.

-Drive to AKL. I am so excited to go there with DF. I stayed there for
7 days once and absolutely loved it. I am dying to show Ryan
around!

-Drive to the BW. I've never been to the Boardwalk so I am excited to
check another thing off of my Disney bucket list!

-Head to the Beach Club and check out Beaches and Cream. Once
again, a check off of the bucket list!

*Dinner should be in ther somewhere but I really have no idea where
or when!

-Head back to POR and probably pass out!

Saturday: Park Hopping

-8am DHS for EMH and Star Tours 2. DF is a big Star Wars fan and
we've only been on ST2 once! We'll hit the other must-do stuff, too.

-At some point head to EPCOT. I swear, it always works out that we
get there in the middle of the day when the lines for Soarin and Test
Track are absolutely ridiculous. This trip will probably be no different
but I can't pass up EMH at DHS and MK being open until midnight
when we only have one day in the parks! Any tips on making the
best out of EPCOT in the middle of the day? :confused3

-Eventually, head to MK for the rest of the day. There's nothing
better than MK at night!

-Once again, head back to POR and pass out.

Sunday: Procrastinate, Head Home

-I always try to find ways to hang around as long as we can until we
leave. We'll probably have breakfast and enjoy POR a bit and then
head out.

This all sounds like a lot but I always try to get the most out of my time at the world. Of course, there are usually things we don't get to but I'd rather be over planned and just keep something in mind for next time if we miss it. I'm actually pretty chill once I'm in the parks. Luckily, Ryan enjoys it as much as I do and likes to have his days planned without him doing any work! I love him

So, does anyone have any ideas on where we should have lunch and dinner on our resort hopping day? I would usually know exactly what we were doing but neither of us have resort hopped before so it's kind of hard to plan. Also, let me know if there's anything specific we should check out at the resorts we're visiting! Any suggestions would help!

Let me know what you think!

Joining in! Everything looks great!! I understand the bridesmaid count going up, we originally planned for 3 and 3 but I couldn't not have one of my good friends there for the entire day! So at the moment we are uneven but oh well I'm ok with that. (big on symmetry)

Are you doing the dining plan while you're there?

We love Narcoossee's at the GF but they are pricey so we only go if we have the dining plan :cool1:
If you haven't done so make sure you check out Basin at the GF
You could always grab a burger at Beaches & Cream (before dessert of course) or heck you're on vacation make dessert your dinner :rotfl:
We just love walking the Boardwalk and going into every store/art gallery
We normally play at least one game while we are there
I've heard great things about Jelly Rolls and of course Atlantic Dance Hall
