Used an awesome National code for my April trip!

So who else thinks this code is going to come to National's attention and be deactivated or the free insurance removed? The supplemental liability and LDW would cost over $36/day normally and it is being included for free...that's a huge loss in potential revenue....

This worked for my June trip...saved almost (exactly) half!!

Join the club and use the code. It is completely legitimate! No worries people. If you are booked you will be fine!

You will not have to pay a fee, EC is now free to join. Emerald Club is what you join, Emerald Aisles or Emerald Exec. are the row from which you choose your vehicle. First time members usually have to go to the counter to have their info verified. THere is a lot of information on the Emerald Club on the website. No, the kiosk is not the same as counter, it cannot verify your information. Why bother with an upgrade coupon if you are getting Emerald Aisle when you select midsize car?
Emerald Club info: https://www.nationalcar.com/?action=emcIndex Read the information.

I wanted to ask -
I got the new Emerald Club Rules in an e-mail and browsed through them. It says that you remain Emerald Club as long as you have had one rental in the past year. I joined over a year ago, but I wound up using Enterprise the last two times. I have an Emerald Club ressie for April. I assume it'll be ok, but would appreciate your reassurance!
Thanks.

Sign into Emerald Club and you will see the date your membership expires. I think, there's a free code on available via Moursesavers, if you need to reactivate your account.

This will be our first time using our EC, does that mean we will have to stop somewhere before choosing our car? I could not sign up at KLM, it kept telling me that I had an incorrect or invalid address. Everything was right. the rate was comparable with another that we have, but bypassing the counter was the draw for us.

Maybe the Flying Blue is not for Canadians, although the Provinces and postal codes boxes came up.

Go straight to the Emerald Club aisle and choose a vehicle. You will check out on you way out.

Keep trying...I got the error message all afternoon, but it finally went through, about half an hour ago.

It worked fine for me. I didn't go to the Canadian site to book though. I went to national's US website and where it asks where you live, I put Canada. That's how I always book when flying to the US. The code worked fine that way. It recognized our address and DH's emerald number (with Ontario DL)

I meant that I couldn't sign up at KLM.

Oh, sorry about that. I misunderstood. I signed up for KLM without any problems. Maybe they're having system upgrades or problems. I received a confirmation email that registration went through.

I was given an account number and instant confirmation...online.

Emerald Club is FREE to join, you don't need a free code. I wish Mary would take that old info down.

I would love to reassure you, Lauren, but, I am sorry, I cannot. I saw the new rules, but, really have not read them. I think, in this instance, you need to call the EC number and ask.

ty, op
i reserved a compact for 4/22-4/29 for $175.76 total!
been trying for months, and couldn't get anywhere near that price (i did drop our last 2 days, we're staying thru 5/1.).
we only rent at the dolphin desk - alamo or national, as we stay at the BWVs. the desk people there are wonderful - they are a great way to start any vacation, and treat us VERY well :)

Sorry, I passed on old info. My Emerald Club is through my CC and I've had it for years. I had no idea, it was now free to join. I guess, that's why I receive the automatic upgrade to Executive Club?
