Can anyone give me some info on renting WBC through redweek?

I have found a couple of listing that I'm interested in but I would need to join and pay the fee to get more information on those particular listings.

Thanks !

I've done maybe six rentals on Redweek.com over the past 10 year. What I do is get a sign on as a guest (no fee) to see the resorts, weeks, and prices. Then if I see something I would like to rent, I pay the $15 fee to join and make arrangement with the owner. I've always only done one rental a year, so the $15 fee is something I've had to pay each time (a cost of renting).

In your case you can just set up a guest account, no fee, and see all the rentals that are out there on the site for Bonnet Creek and other resorts too (if you would be interested in anything besides that one). Then if and only if you want to rent one of these you can join.

Because these are timeshare properties not private rentals I can find out a great deal about them on other sites and know right away if I'm interested or not. (Hate to add another $15 a year fee for you, but I also belong to TUG2.net a timeshare users group). On this site there are ratings and detailed reviews of timeshares. This site gives me all the information I need to know if I'd be interested in renting. Note too that TUG2.net has a classified ads section too and you don't have to be a member or pay a fee to access that and contact owners to rent. I've rented off of that site too. // In your case you may already know what you want is Wyndam Bonnet Creek, so this may be a moot point.

Usually when I'm on the Redweek.com site I have a specific week in mind, know what I think would be reasonable price wise, and just grab a great property if it comes up (I like to try different ones, but have found I've rented some of the larger ones more than one time mostly because great rentals at these are readily available, and they were so nice that I just go with a repeat stay when I see a deal.)

Thanks...I'm familiar with Tug2 as well. There is nothing on there are the moment that is of interset...rental wise. I also looked at the possibility of a purchase but again nothing of interest.

I already know that I want WBC....we usually stay onsite but I've stayed at HBC and really liked the whole BC properties. This trip we are there primarily for a convention so a kitchen will be beneficial to prepare food to have on hand while at the convention.

I guess really what I want to know about Redweek is if it's safe to use....I do realize there is a measure of blind trust with renting like this.

I found a listing that showed dates that ranged through several months with a low price attached. If the price is valid for dates in the range I could get a 2br for $90 per night. It seems that every place else I've looked it's more in the $175-200 range.

I've had good sucess with Redweek.com in the past. If the person is advertising floating weeks (large range) they probably have flex week to rent and can get it if there is availabiliy for the week. There are many many Bonnet Creek renters on this site too. You could post and have people send you individual names of people they have rented from in the past. I think I've heard many references to a guy named Ken.

Yes...It's Ken Price but his rates are too high for me. The other one that people mention a lot is VacationStrategy.com I got a quote from them but it's still about $300 over what I want to pay. The one I saw on Redweek puts me $200 under budget.
