I thought, I had this figured out. I was under, the erroneous assumption, DCL vs Resort ME...were equals. If, I knew then, what I know now, I would have book the parks AFTER, the boat.

My original plan...take ME to the resort, roundtrip transportation (resort/port/resort) and return to the airport via ME. We have an evening flight booked, so we could enjoy ONE MORE DISNEY DAY. :rolleyes I assumed, we could use onboard airline checkin...get rid of the baggage. It was just too simple.

I can't use the resort ME to return to the airport (only available day of check out) I can't do onboard check in because I didn't book airfare through Disney and I'm not using Disney transfers (only good if I'm returning to the airport). It's a mess. Why couldn't it be easy?

I feel your pain although I WAS aware of this..... This is definitely an area that could potentially provide some revenue to Disney AND something I would pay for....the ability to have them take my luggage to the airport and store it until my flight at least...

I am confused....bolded area shows you will be at the resort after the cruise....why can't you take ME to the airport and have them handle the luggage?

I think OP is staying at the resort prior to the cruise. And taking a late flight after disembarking. So they wanted to have DCL handle the bags to the airport while they went to WDW for the day and took the ME to the airport to catch their flight that night.

Got it....!!

OP...suggestion.....are you flying a participating airline? If you are bite the bullet the take the DCL transfers back to the airport so they will handle luggage. Rent a car for the day at MCO...you won't need a car to handle the luggage...just the people. I did this and booked a rental before I left for the cruise. We took DCL transfers to MCO to have them handle the luggage and then once we got off the bus at MCO we picked up our rental and spent the day at Disney (DTD and resorts) and headed back to the airport in time for our flight. Our rental was only $25 so well worth it. Our flight was at 7:30 pm. Better than hanging out at the airport.

Another thought?.... Are you taking DCL transfers to the port? If so, that would qualify you for the OAC program...it does not have to be both ways...just have to have a leg of DCL transfers booked. At least this is the way I understand it. Port to MCO is the most logical but I think as long as you have paid transfers somewhere along the line you can participate.
