Disney Dream to Bahamas --First time--

We are going to the bahamas may of 2013 on the disney cruise

This will be our first time to cruise. What do we need to bring, can we do a carryon. If we dont have a carryon what steps do we go thru. I am wanting to get a passport so i dont have to bring my birth record with me will the passport card work for me (wont be flying at all). While at port can we do our own tours like (museums, and anything else at Nassau). While on the disney island what kind of things we can do while we are there.

Any help will be grateful for us.

The members will be my mom, my grandmother and me (29) and no kids

Buying items at Nassau how much would we be spending for things like tshirts, keychains and other items.

You may certainly have a carryon. It must fit through the scanner prior to boarding (22"X14"X9" maximum size).

While the passport card will work for a government issued photo ID, it won't work if you need to fly. I know you have no plans to, but, if there was an emergency (medical either on the cruise or at home, for example), you would need a passport book to fly.

You can do your own tours while in port, just keep an eye on the time and don't be late for the "all aboard" time. The ship won't wait for you.

CC has lots of things to do: stingrays, bikes, floats, snorkeling, shopping, crab races, among others. Oh, and lunch.
