5 Nights on the Wonder or 7 on the Fantasy? Which Would You Do?

So my husband and I are thinking about going on a cruise next February, just the two of us. We were looking at doing a longer cruise, and my first instinct was to look at the Fantasy, since we sailed on a 4 night cruise on the Dream last year and LOVED it. But as I was doing my research, I noticed that the Wonder will be sailing 5 night cruises out of Miami at the same time. When I price out the cruises, it looks like the Fantasy will be about $50 more per person per night.

So my question is, what would you do? I've never been on one of the classic ships, so I don't know if there are enough additional activities on the Fantasy to justify that additional $50/night. Both of these cruises have a multiple days at sea (2 for the Wonder + CC and Cozumel, 3 for the Fantasy + St. Thomas, San Juan PR, and CC) so the trip is really about exploring the boats.

Finally, does anyone know if the eastern carribean cruises generally have rougher seas than the Western ones?

Hi cloudnut220 :cloud9: We love the classic ships & while the Wonder is in the area, I'd cruise again on the Wonder. The western itinerary is wonderful & much calmer than eastern seas. Use the money you save to do an excursion or a massage or dinner @ Palo. Hope this helps! :thumbsup2
Happy cruising! :yay:

Two more nights :mickeyjum two more nights :stitch: two more nights :goofy: !!!!

The Caribbean seas are generally fine as long as the weather is ok ... our preference is usually the Eastern, Southern and then Western ... but any chance to cruise the Caribbean :thumbsup2 ... can't wait for TWO weeks aboard the Fantasy this fall :yay: :yay: :yay: ... just the two of us ... ... though not sure how DW feels now since I didn't get her any flowers for Valentines :rolleyes1

I prefer the eastern side of the caribbean. I don't like the Cozumel, KeyWest, Jamaica, etc side of the area. i prefer out of SJ and hitting the islands all the way down to Curacao and Aruba.

That is a nice chunk of change though $50 extra per night.
