Price drop December Panama crossing

My TA is amazing. They found a price drop of almost $1200 on the December 2012 Panama crossing and saved a bundle for a lot of us. That amount was on a balcony cabin for 4 people.

That will buy one large number of excursions or other fun!!!

Thats great. Hopefully they will do the same for the westbound and save us some money on the May Panama crossing.

Seriously, now the December crossing is $1000 less than the one in May.

Thanks to someone posting the price drop yesterday, I emailed my TA and she got the cruise 'reshopped' and saved me almost $1400! Very exciting and somewhat takes the sting out of the costly flights back after the cruise!

No sorries! I think it's great that you are getting the word out. I was surprised that the last thread didn't get more action. This seems like pretty big news that should have the word out about!

I checked it out and the SPH we had for the 2008 EBPC is $1700 less than what we paid. REALLY wish that the kids could go then.

Yes - the ship has to stop in a distant foreign port, and that would be Cartagena.

Yes, I understand on an open-loop cruise, the ship must make a stop outside of North America, but what I was wondering is if the original itinerary has changed or has it always been the way DCL is listing it?

Wouldn't Grand Cayman count as a stop outside of N. America? Just wondering, I know Bermuda does not.

The original itinerary changed on the Dec. sailing. Grand Cayman is not a distant foreign port, whereas Cartagena, Colombia is - as are the ABC islands (Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao).

I don't know about Bermuda. I was on a repositioning cruise from San Juan to Norfolk, VA - and our ports were St. Thomas, St. Maarten, Tortola, and Bermuda. Either the rules are different for ships departing from Puerto Rico, or Bermuda qualifies as a distant foreign port.

This sparked my interest and I just checked the pricing. I was amazed that the secret verandah rooms 6134 and 6634 were both available in the Cat 7. We will give this serious thought tonight.

If I were you, I would put that cabin on hold NOW and give it some serious thought later!
