Longest Vacation Ever! VGC, Aulani, & More!--Complete!!!

Only two more days in paradise then one LONG travel day back to reality! Boy do I have a bunch of pictures to show you! Food porn too. You guys will have to keep me motivated to do all the work it takes to upload the pictures and post here though. It gets boring when it feels like I'm talking to myself. I promise I've got some good stuff to share.
Today we went to the character breakfast at Makahiki at Aulani. It had the best food of any Disney character meal I've ever been to, but the fewest characters! We also went to the swap meet at Aloha Stadium to buy souvenirs. Great bargains for the most part! The kids spent more time with "Auntie" at the keiki club and much more! We really know how to pack in the fun! All this with 4 little kids! Whew! I need a vacation! :rotfl2: Just kidding! But we are committed to doing as much nothing as possible for the next two days.

I definitely want to hear and see more about your trip. I know my brother is going to Aulani but he is a boy and will not notice any of the details that I would find interesting!

They have an island view room booked but I had thought about saying for them to request a high floor.

Please post more including pictures, pretty please.:) Plus, your kids are so cute that you need to show them off ;)

I'm very excited to see all you have to show us! My family leaves in 2 weeks & 3 days for Aulani, first time to Hawaii. I have a 12yr old boy, Logan & a 14yr old daughter, Peyton & can't wait to see their reaction to it all. I too will do a TR & post many pictures...In the mean time I'm anxiously awaiting all you have for us. Thank you for your time & thoughtfulness.....

Have no fear, we are here! :goodvibes Ready and waiting! popcorn::

Looking forward to your TR! :cheer2:

Looking forward to all the pics and surprises of your trip report. It seems you had a lot of fun!!! :cool1:

We're back!
Time to upload some pictures. I've got lots!

Edit:
1456 pictures being uploaded. (Those are just the "keepers.") This may take a while...

We are all disoriented. :upsidedow

The kids JUST woke up and are eating breakfast...11:30am. At least DH had a chance to run to the store and get some food and milk before they got up complaining they were hungry.

The post office delivered an entire box of mail that we have to sort through. This is the first time we've had so much mail that they had to leave the box! And we had a document important enough for overnight delivery delivered on Feb 8th! :rotfl:

I washed my cell phone mid vacation. You'd think I would have bought the protection plan this time since my last phone broke when it fell off the roof of my car while I was driving AND someone ran it over. But I didn't, so I'm cell phone shopping today.

I have so much to share with you from our trip! Here are some teasers...
Zoe had a celebrity encounter.
We lost our diaper bag.

More soon. ;)

Ooh, hope it was a good celeb!

Excited to read and see all about your trip.

My DH kept wrote a blog while we were gone. He only had the Kindle Fire to do it, so he wasn't prolific, BUT I'm working on adding details to it and adding pictures. It is sooo much easier to add pictures to the blog thanit is to this site, so I hmmm...I'm wondering...any problem with just linking you guys to the blog?

Here is a little starting paragraph...
The Trip has Begun!

Here is the main event...
Disneyland Day 1
Let me know if this doesn't work! And remember, ONLY the days I link to are "done.":goodvibes

Wish I could devote all my time to my TR, but I'm also trying to get ready for work tomorrow and get back to "normal" around here! I am so looking forward to eating healthier food! I just made some homemade freshly ground wheat rolls! Yum, they smell good! DH is unpacking and doing laundry...although we kept up with laundry pretty well on vacation. That's one advantage to staying in DVC or other timeshares...washer/dryer in the unit!

Soon I will update my itinerary on the first page of this TR and add the blog links to it as I update the blog. I think I'll have to add more pics and posts exclusively for this TR though. I don't think DH really wants ALL the details DISers like including "food porn" on "his" blog!

Link works fine....Reading and enjoying so far, looks like you have a great family and a husband that does laundry:lovestruc. What a wonderful view, do you remember your room number? (4508 I have now found that) Back to the blog.:thumbsup2

Oh, boy. My mind is foggy. I remember the room numbers of the last two hotels, but not VGC. DH thinks it was 418. I got the recommendation for which rooms to request from a thread here on the DIS. Maybe VGC owners thread. :confused3 The request sure paid off! I'll post room pics and pics of WOC when I get a chance. I remember I took a picture of our room number when we first went to the room, but I was wrong and it was a pic of the number across the hall! I deleted it and intended to take the correct number but never did.

I've updated post number 2 with links to everything I've got ready. Currently that is day 1 and day 2. I've spent hours on this today and have to get back to reality. :sad1: Next update should be Wednesday.

Wish me luck getting up at 4:45am tomorrow. That's like 12:45am Hawaii time! :rotfl:

I'm enjoying your TR! About the Tiger Tails...maybe you had them mixed up in your head with Tigger Tails (I know I did at first, when I heard of them) The Tiger tails are the those breadsticks at Bengal while Tigger tails are, I think super sweet marshmallow based things at..uh..Pooh Corner shop by Splash?

Thanks!
Yes, we tried both. The Tigger Tails were a hit, but the Tiger tails were nothing special--not even good really. Definately not worth the $3+ IMO.

Great 1st day! I love the Mickey Head bread!

Thanks! I wish I could have justified buying the Mickey loaf. The kids would have loved it! They don't sell the soup without the bread bowl though, so we had plenty of bread.

Your day 1 was wonderful, I can't wait to read more. I couldn't get the first link to work though!

Sorry about that! I'll try to fix it. I did add a link to my completed Day 2 to the 2nd post in this thread. That's where I'll put all the links as I complete my updates.
