I loved this update (except for the bats...they kinda creep me out )
Thanks! Bats normally creep me out too, but these just seemed so unusual, not like the scary, gross ones I associate with Halloween.
I find AK so beautiful and think that park has the best photo ops. Your update has me so excited to be back there in 2 weeks
I agree. I absolutely love to take pictures at AK. It's the best. I hope you have fabulous weather on your trip so you can spend lots of time outdoors soaking in the sights and taking pictures. Caitlin's pictures are getting more and more fabulous very trip.
I had to laugh at your story about Denny missing the exit. Sounds like something Dale would do and it would bug the heck out of me
I looked up right before the exit and said, "You need to turn there". Too late. Yeah - it was a tad annoying because he had the GPS ON!
Haha, I saw your title and couldn't help but to bust into the Beyonce song. "All the single riders, all the single riders....now put your hands up!" Appropriate, right?
I think that's why I remembered from Podsnel's TR. She must have related it to the same song. I'm such a thief, stealing her title like that.
Funny, I rarely take advantage of the single rider line. I don't have an aversion to it, we just never really use it. But you're right, in a party of three, one is going to be alone.
I like to use it if I think its going to save a few minutes, although I do prefer riding in a group. I like to use single rider on TT because I really think it shaves off a lot more time than any of the other rides.
No picture of the wine glass? I have to wait??
AACK!
I know. I'm bad, but I'm actually not sure where that picture is. I think its a phone picture so I have to look for it.
Gorgeous gorgeous pictures, what a stunning day! I love the tigers.
Thanks! I really enjoyed taking pictures on that trail because it was a first for me! The tigers were awesome!
It really is a huge bummer they discontinued the dining plan segments though I can only imagine the admin logistics of it being
I was actually surprised they even starting offering the dining plan in segments. I would think at that point they would know it wasn't going to work well. Too labor intensive. Oh well - it was good while it lasted.
Gorgeous AK pictures, as always!!
Thanks! I'm curious to hear what you thought of AK this trip. Did you like it any better?
Well, I do have to admit that it IS always harder to follow directions when you are driving, but still!I have been in the same situation as Denny and I agree, it had to be totally your fault. (Hey, us guys have to stick together. )
Love the Maharajah Jungle Trek (it wasn't the Pangani -- that's the one with the gorillas...now do you see why Denny got lost?).
DOH! As soon as I read this I went back and changed it. I always want to call all the trails the Pangani trail (we did that one later in the day). Thanks for correcting me because it would probably take me awhile to catch my mistake.
Beautiful pictures Mary Ellen.
Thanks! I'm really pleased with how these pictures turned out, but I have to give the credit to the excellent subject matter!
