Ok - we're Gold Level Castaway Club members and honestly have always gone to the dining rooms each night (and Palo one night) of each cruise. We had planned to do B2Bs this summer to Canada on DCL but have had to change plans to DH work downsizing sometime in June. We figured we had much more in terms of out of pocket expenses (with hotel and flights) out of New York vs. changing our dates to March and driving to FL (we're from NC).
Fast forward - reservations are moved and we have friends going on the same cruise. The general consensus of the group is that no one wants to dress up this cruise and definitely not to the point of Formal/Semi-Formal Nights.
I'm ok with not packing dresses/suits. We are planning on eating in the Dining Room every other night (7 day Western on the Magic). I understand that Topsiders has a buffet every night.
Has anyone else done a cruise like this? I don't want to upset our servers and YES, we plan to tip the full amount, we just don't want to dress up.
Help - any thoughts good or bad or has anyone else done a cruise like this?
TIA!
