Hello everyone!

This will be our first Disney Cruise. We have cruised before but on other cruiselines. We've heard great things about Disney and are so looking forward to this one. This cruise is about the ship as our destination more than the ports.

We're cruising with another couple. We're in steerage, they've got a verandah cabin. We'll have a great time regardless of where our cabin is.

Disney was a big part of my husband's family growing up. Hope to hear from others who may have booked this far out!

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list

Have a great cruise! :thumbsup2

Just walked off of the Wonder this morning. It was our very first cruise, and while we were onboard we signed up for the Nov. 4, 2012 cruise to the Mexican Riviera!

Trying to do lots of research for this cruise. Have cruised many times on other lines, but this will be our first Disney cruise. We are traveling with another couple. Going to ask our TA to keep an eye open to watch for specials to see if we can move up a few decks.

We have done this itinerary several times, so the ports aren't new to us. This means that the ship is our destination for this cruise.:thumbsup2

:yay:well, now there are three of us! my family just took our first disney cruise in october. we did four days on the dream to the bahammas. it was super, but too short. we booked onboard, for a shorter cruise, but have changed our reservation to join you all. we are looking forward to spending a week onboard! i just made our reservation changes, so am just beginning to research the wonder and these ports of call. neither my husband or i have ever been to any of the ports in mexico. Any helpful info you've already gathered would be appreciated! i'm sooooooooooooooooo excited!!:yay:

Hi Tara

Welcome! Hoping that more will join us now that we're under the 365 day mark :)

My husband and I and the couple we're traveling with have all been on previous MR cruises. The possibility of having 2 days in Cabo is very nice, although it is a tender port.

Since this is my first Disney cruise I'm trying to figure out what all those acronyms mean. Let's see I think I have these down:

KTTW - Key to the World
FE - Fish Extender
CM - Cast Member
DVC - Disney Vacation Club

Anyone have any others that we should know?

Just got off our Western Caribbean Cruise, 11-19-11. We booked while on board and we are looking forward to this cruise.

I subscribed to this link, and thought it might be helpful to others too!:woohoo:

Our son will be 14 and our daughter will be 3. If this cruise is like the last we will only see him at dinner and breakfast (only because they were both required) he loved the Edge, and is ready to try out the Vibe.

Can't wait to hear more about everyone else. Have a good Thanksgiving. And don't forget....Every time a Christmas tree is put up before Thanksgiving an elf drowns a baby reindeer.

yes, acronyms are correct. this is our second dis cruise. our first was a four day caribean cruise on the dream which we loved! we are looking forward to having a full week. i have been to mexico before, but never cruising. we can't wait! if you have a disney cruise specific questions, we're happy to help. personal message me though, becasue i'm npot on alot this far out.

Well we are under the 300 day mark. Have been somewhat concerned that it seems that Disney is going to be moving the Wonder from LA in December of 2012! Hope our sailing stays intact.

Getting excited. This year will be a busy one for me. I have 4 sisters and we get together every year. This year will be the beginning of May. Then our son is getting married the first part of August, then, of course, the cruise. And between all of that, I have may favorite past time about once a month. That is scrapbooking both traditional and digital!

My friend who is traveling with us has confirmed that Mazatlan has been removed from the itinerary, so that will give us two days in Cabo. She's excited about that. A couple of years ago, she and her husband did a 7-night cruise on another cruiseline, but she missed the Cabo stop because she got a migraine. So she's hoping that won't happen with this trip. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for her.

I want to drop some weight not only for my son's wedding in August but also for this cruise. If I don't I won't have any appropriate clothing that I can wear :(

So let's get this going. I'm Terri, my husband is Lee we're both early 50's, and we're traveling without children. We've cruised many times on other lines, but this is our first Disney cruise. We've done the MR itinerary a couple of times, not including our Panama Canal Transit itineraries. We are traveling with my best friend and her husband, who are DVC members.

Hi everyone

Just moved our cruise from Carribean (Fantasy) to Mexico... being from Asia means I can save some time travelling to the East Coast and need shorter time for Disneyland as compared to WDW.

Well I am already starting to think about the next cruise I want to book while on board this one! Hopefully I will have more time so that I can do the Carribean on Fantasy.

I have done Med and Alaska, both on Disney cruises.

Looking forward to planning for this one.

Hi there ytsyts! Tell us a little bit about yourself!

I have received information from our TA that they have officially removed Mazatlan from our itinerary and we now have 1.5 days in Cabo. My friend who is traveling with us is happy about that. Their last MR cruise she missed visiting Cabo because of a migraine. Hubby and I don't care, we're going to experience the Disney cruise itself.

This will be a relaxing cruise for us.

Hi,

I am from Singapore so it's a long way to go to USA... 15 hours flight to LA, Orlando probably 1 full day to travel to with the transit time included.

My husband and I are looking forward to making this trip! Have no idea yet what's there to do for the days at port. Will do a bit of research this weekend.

Cheers.

Hi and welcome, no we haven't started talking about Fish Extenders. You're number 6 to join in the group. WELCOME!

If we do them, I'll have to find someone that I can pay to make me one LOL, working full-time and preparing for my son's wedding is taking a lot of my time right now.

Jsmncrews tell us a little bit about yourself :)

im a single mom with two boys, 8 and 4 and we are going on our first disney cruise with my stepmom! super excited. :)

Well we just switched over to this cruise from the Pacific Coast on October 4th. We remembered (thank goodness) an important football game our son is in that would have conflicted with the other cruise. So here we are! We did this same itinerary last February with all the kids, my dad, and my DH's mom and dad. We all had a blast and rebooked for the Magic out of Galveston next February 1st. We live in Alaska, so we try to leave when the weather is the worst (FEB!) Then DH decided we should try a grown up trip, just us. Flying from Alaska is LONG...so we knew we wanted to stay on the west coast. Our options were a little limited, but i'm excited to do the MR without kids this time. We can do some fanicier excursions this time :cool1:

Welcome! The more the merrier. :woohoo:

We are so looking forward to this cruise too. My girlfriend who is also traveling with us, will be starting a new job this coming Monday after losing one. I'm very thankful that someone was looking out for her and she was able to quickly find another. She's a very good legal secretary/paralegal.

Also, hoping that my hubby's "contract" position is made permanent soon. He's been told that they are making plans to hire him permanent. They are aware that we have a vacation planned in November.

We are also cruising without children, mostly because our "child" is now 32 LOL; but I tell ya, I sure don't feel old enough to have a 32 year old. Thus, I tell my son he's getting older, I'm not.

By the time this cruise gets here, I'll be needing it. That 32 year old is finally getting married in August. We like his choice very much, she's a lovely young woman. So perhaps grandchildren are finally in my future. I wasn't ready for them 10 or even 5 years ago, but I'm ready now LOL

This weekend's weather here where I live is going to be crazy this weekend. It's been so warm that you'd have thought spring had already sprung. However, a winter storm is moving in and the forecast is for lots of rain, and maybe even some snow here in the higher elevations of Los Angeles County starting tonight sometime through Monday morning.

Keep smiling! We're another day closer to departure.

Hi, I just booked this cruise! It will be myself, my husband and our two boys, ages 4 and 8. We are super excited! It is our first cruise. And I already had my FE made so I hope we are going to do it! lol
