Has anyone ever gotten day passes here? According ot what i am reading they are $50, including beach chairs and a $30 restaurant credit. Is this per person, per adult?? Was it worth the price?? Any info would be appreciated.

From what I heard that is the price if purchased in advance. $55 if you purchase at the hotel. Thinking about the same thing.

We did the day pass in Oct of 2010 for the Colonial. It has a decent beach, it's not huge but it has a nice view of the cruise ships in port. We didn't have kids with us and didn't get in the water besides just putting feet in. The voucher for the food/beverage we spent on just beverages and this is allowed. It is a nice place with friendly staff, it's not as opulent as Atlantis but if you just want a place to walk to and sit on the beach I would do it. We were in port with the Oasis, Carnival Dream, and two other cruise ships and with all those passengers in port I think there were 6 of us on the beach.

We did this when we went this past April. (2 adults & 2 girls- 8 & 5)

What we loved about it:

It was a very quiet resort, so we had plenty of pool time (which after being on the Dream where it was nearly impossible to swim, my kids were thrilled). The beach was really the harbor. It was clear on the day we went, DH actually used the snorkel equipment we brought and said he saw some sea life.

I also loved it was a short walk from the cruise ship (no taxis or busses needed), and I loved you could see the Dream right from the hotel beach.

What I didnt care for as much:

We had $30 per adult in credit and $10 for one of our kids (our 5 year old was free there, so no credit). We had lunch at the beach bar. Wow, was service SLOW, but I guess they are on island time. It took over an hour to get food & eat, after they finally decided to come to our table. And, the credit did not cover lunch for 4 (no kids menu), so we spent another maybe $20 to $30. So, yes food is expensive!

That being said, the food was good, but not good enough for me to remember what we had :)

Other minor thing was the pool was more on the chilly side, even for great mid 80's low 90's weather. Refreshing I suppose :lmao:

We pre bought our vouchers from island marketing online and had no issues at all.

It was a basic pool and beach day, no water toys, etc, which was fine for us!

I definitely would go back, but next time in Nassau we will likely explore other options, as we like variety!

Cost was $50 per adult (ages 12 plus), $25 per child ages 6 to 12 and kids under 6 were free. ($30 credit for each adult, and $10 credit per paying child).
