Can I bring mini liquor bottles?

I would like to bring mini liquor bottles for the adult FE gift. Do you know if there is any problem packing them in my check in luggage, and bringing them on the ship? They are actually plastic and I'm not concerned about them breaking, just being told I can't bring them onboard.

DCL request all beverages brought onboard be in your carry-on bags. Not checked bags.

Above is correct...there is no problem bringing them onboard....DCL just asks that any beverages be brought on in carry on luggage. if you pack it in checked luggage there is a chance it will be confiscated and returned to you at the end of the cruise which defeats the purpose of putting it in the FE's.

We also had little bottles in our FE gifts. Since there were over 64 little bottles I asked my DH to remove them from the packed luggage and put them in the carry on. He found the bag (not knowing there were two) and placed it in the carry on. The others stayed in the luggage. While I would say to follow the rules in case something breaks, we did get the second bag.

Just bring a little roller bag to make it easy on yourself.

I've never heard of anyone giving these as FE gifts before and I would hesitate to put them in the FEs. There are usually some things removed from FEs somewhere on the ship. On our cruise last year hardly anyone got the postcards with stamps already on them to send from CC because they were evidently discovered and swiped by someone on a couple decks. If a kid were to go snooping in the FEs and discover this, I wouldn't put it past them to try to collect the mini bottles from the other FEs. You then have the issue of someone underage being supplied with alcohol, even though they swiped it from someone's FE it was in the public hallway. You also have kids checking out their own FEs when they go back to their room on their own. You have no way of knowing if they will try it or not.

Just make sure you do carry on just to be on the safe side.

I have read of SEVERAL adult fish extender gifts containing little airport bottles of liquor.

That point about making liquor available to minor's by innocently leaving them as FE gift's is something I had never thought of! I think no one else thought about it when leaving them as well! Good intentions, but possible bad result!

Just makes you wonder who would be held liable if kids did get ahold of it.
