I'm putting together a graduation DVD and need help with music

I'ver never been good with music and this DVD has put me to the test and will take any and all suggestions. This is what I have so far, but I'm not 100% committed to anything.

The sections of the DVD that I want to include are:

School pictures over the years and was thinking of doing the song 2012, but I may strictly use the song for graduation day pictures and then need another song for all the school pictures.

Family pictures - we are family

Pictures with her sisters - We go together (Grease)

Dancing pictures (she's danced for 15 years) - I hope you dance.

Section with DD and Step-father (my husband who has been in her life since she was two) - Because you loved me

My section with DD - My wish (but I'm not loving this song - I think there is something I can do better)

She's been a field hockey player x 4 years - no music so far for this song

Something for her and her friends.

Any suggestions?

Aaagghhh! Just reading the title makes me think of the Disneyland commercials that make me cry like a big baby. It's the voiceover that reminds you that "there are only so many..."

The crying aside I will for sure be using that song in DS Grad video.

Your dance song is great, but have you heard the song Cinderella by Steven Curtis Chapman? It is the one my dancing daughter picked for her grad DVD. I'm going to go watch her video now...sniff! She's been gone for 2 years and now I have to send off the next daughter.

I agree, I really like this song.

My school's graduation song for our class was "I Will Remember You" by Sarah McLachlan. The year before that it was the Green Day song "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)". I think both are still great for a graduation message.

I know you have "I hope you dance" for the dance section but I went to a wedding and the bride danced with her Mom to that song. Now everytime I listen to the words I think of it differently. So maybe you can move it to your pictures with her?

I used Alphaville's "Forever Young" on the video I did for our son a few years ago........brings out the tears every time we watch it. Plan to use it again along with the newer Jay-Z version "Young Forever" in a couple of years for our younger son.
