I need help from my fellow Chicagoarea disboarders...I am thinking about having a magician/balloonist type entertainer for my child's birthday party coming up. I'm still in the process of researching, but are these type of entertainers afforable at all? There seem to be so many companies/people out there, how do you choose? Do you have any recommendations? Winter birthdays in the midwest seem to be so difficult, budget-wise. Can't have it outside, so have to find some expensive venue or have a party at home, which makes it hard to entertain lots of kiddos. What to do?? :confused3

Call your public library and talk to someone in the children's section or call your park district. Both of those venue's plan parties for kids, and will have some recommended talent.

The "class clown" I went to grade school with is a magician. We see him at a lot of festivals in the suburbs. Here is a link to his website if you're interested. http://balstermagic.com/:wizard:

It's nice to know that all those times he got in trouble at school paid off for him. ;)

Hi there! :wave2:
I have a personal friend who does awesome parties...she is a clown, does face painting, balloons, anything you want. She really is great!! I am not sure of her rates however... if you PM me, I will give you her website. I wasn't sure if I could post it here. I am not sure where you are in Chicagoland, but she is based out of Bartlett but I think will go just about anywhere in the area.
Let me know if you want her info! :goodvibes

That's a great idea! I would've never have thought to do that.
