We are cruising in a couple of weeks and are booked in concierge. We have used the conciege to book our spa treatment, palos etc but what exactly do you get when you are onboard? I know about being able to order food from any of the menus to be delivered to your room and the drinks and snacks in the room. Do you get free wi-fi?

Royal suite gets unlimited free wifi. Other suites get 100 minutes. Internet on the ship is bad!
Sodas in cans (and water) in your room, added toiletries, litho by Ducky Williams, all the reservations you want, concierge reception, special reception (characters), etc. Reality--you book concierge for the room. The extras are just nice extras!

Unless they have changed things recently.......

If you are sailing on the Dream, only guests staying in a suite (cats T and R) can order from the dining room menus.

I thought all of concierge could order from the dining rooms except for Palo. Palo was for the Royal suites????

That is true on the Magic and Wonder (where all Concierge guests are in suites), but only guests in suites can order from the dining rooms on the Dream (and I would guess the Fantasy). Even though guests in cat V cabins (Dream/Fantasy) are Concierge guests, they are limited to ordering from the regular room service menu (unless they have recently changed the policy). When we were on the Dream I asked the Concierge staff for the dining room menus and they had to confirm what cabin we were in (a cat T) before they would give them to me.

No worries, thought that was a nice perk, but not one I was overly attached too. Thank you

not in the case of a V cat room though. It is essentially the same size room as the best Cat 4, same split bath with a single round shower. There is a significant premium added which is really for all those extras: concierge service, use of lounge and sundeck, etc

Is the round shower also a tub? I though all Disney cabins had bathtubs. If the cabin doesn't have a table, the restaurants can't serve meals from the restaurants, though I'm not sure what the difference is between serving food from the room service kitchen and from the restaurants. Does anyone know if any of the family rooms have a table?

We have booked conceirge for the Fantasy in Dec...:cool1:
We plan to book a meal each in Palo and Remy..if once we are on the ship we want to make a further reservation at Remy can conceirge staff get that for you? What about Castaway Cabanas once on the ship?
Thanks

It is subject to availability but certainly on the embarkation day when you have your meeting with the concierge you should tell them, they will usually be able to get a reservation for you. As for the cabanas, you should really book it at the 120 day mark. Call your shoreside concierge to set this up. There are more platinum guests and concierge guests then there are cabanas so they go fast. It is hard to get DCL confirmation of this but many on these boards have been told that concierge does hold some things back from the online booking such as palo reservations and cabanas. Then after the first cruise day the concierge guests kind of get a first crack at these reservations before they are released to the rest of the passengers. Obviously the concierge team works hard to meet your every request if all the cabanas are booked for example they won't be able to just kick people out to make an opening.
