*Upgrading to an Annual Pass and Other Ticket Questions

I have a lot more experience with Disney World than I do Disneyland. In Disney World, you can upgrade a ticket to an Annual Pass, as long as it is done before the last day of the ticket use.

1. Is that also true in Disneyland?

2. If so, is it also true that if you buy a discounted pass, and use your discounted pass one time before upgrading, that they will use the Disneyland.com pass cost towards the upgrade, rather than the price paid?

3. Is there any such thing as a no-expiration option on Disneyland tickets, so that they don't expire in 13 days?

Thanks for any information!

1. Yes, you have until the end of your last day to upgrade.

2. No. You get credit for the price you paid. There are a few exceptions with some retailers (credit unions, last minute travel) where you may get credit for more than what you actually paid.

3. No. There isnt a no expiration option.

That is the WDW policy, but the DLR policy is you have to upgrade the discount price to full price and then pay up to the ticket you want. Like 3Minnies said there have been exceptions. If you do this you should plan on paying the full cost and loosing the discount.
