No Entertainment rate avail at HoJo?

Making our ressie for Oct and called to find out there were no rates avail for the Ent Card. Our dates are on the list but she still said none avail for any room type!

Are they just sold out?

I did get a cheaper rate on the kids suite when she checked on our ins company!

Should I call back and get someone during the day? It's late so not sure if I was transferred to some center. I've heard to talk to the hotel direct (which I did call but its after 9pm)

When you called the number on the HOJO entertainment rate page, did you ask for in house reservations? I too saw the dates I wanted in late October, and tried to book online, but it said they were not available. I called and asked for in house reservations and she said they were available.
 
I called the direct hotel number and asked for reservations (not specifically inhouse). It was 9pm and I think she sent me to a main center because into the call she asked if I woudl need a car in Orlando! I said I was calling about anaheim and disneyland and she said oh yes thats right.

I'll try tomorrow. Are the Kid Suite rooms included in the Ent rates? I know it says the King Suites are not and that does have a king bed so not sure. I still got 15% off w/ my insurance (same as Mousesaver disc)
 
You can do the entertainment rate online using the LKEP code. LisainCalifornia did a thread on this recently. Try this and see before calling in-house reservations tomorrow.

ok- we are good for the trip but I'm concerned w/ their new policy. It says no changes in the reservation for any reason. we thought about arrivng a day earlier so it sounds like that could not added later- we're just need to wait until later to know more details?? Guess I could always add 1 night at the 15% off rate

This new policy is only for the popularity of the Entertainment/Retro Rate
 
No cancelation freaks me out a bit but I'm commited now!! Saved $400 on our kids suite. The kids think we'll just be in a regular "motel room".

You can add the extra night as a seperate reservations at the DIS member discount of 15% off. What I would do is talk to the Hojo Anaheim directly and explain what happened. If they have room they may be flexible, they will try to help you out.

Here is the updated cancellation policy from their website page. Where did you get the cancellation policy info. above?


"Update:
Due to the high demand of our "Retro Discount" we have implemented a non cancelable policy on these reservations to prevent "date hoarding" by making multiple tentative reservations.

* Retro Discount room reservations are charged at checkout.
* RD reservations cancelled prior to the arrival date will be charged 1 night's charge.
* If you add or subtract nights from a reservation (changes) we will not charge a fee.
* Mixed rate reservations will revert to the standard 48 hour cancellation policy
* Additional RD days may be added as they become available."
 
And yes, when you called late at night, you were NOT speaking to anyone at the hotel in Anaheim.

Always call them during business hours, pacific time.
 
Interesting. I thought that was their policy, too. However, the email confirmation I got from HOJO's for our October 2012 trip sates that "If you need to cancel or alter your dates, please inform us 48 hours prior to your arrival date to avoid penalty charges." When I look up my reservation online at their website it states that cancellation policy mention before (no cancellations), but in the comments section of my reservation, they wrote "ADV 30 day CXL". confused.
