HELP!!!!!! More Disney Dreams to fulfill! 09/04 Exciting news!

Oh, Karen...that sounds like our Christmas Day, only Sophia kept things a bit more lively! I am sorry you were, shall we say, feeling under the weather, as we say.

Love the tree ...so pretty...and Pixie is just as adorable as ever.:goodvibes Love the shot of her trying to get up in the tree. ;)

This year the 26th was a federal holiday because Christmas fell on a Sunday, so many people had the day off...but of course, many in service postions of all kinds had to work. If M&M were not on vacation this week, they both would have had to work yesterday.

Very good to hear Tom is feeling better and well enough to be back at work. Also, that you are beginning to turn the corner and will be well enough to return to school. How long is your break?

:grouphug:

Love the pictures of your Christmas! Our trees were similar weren't they? LOL :) Just like our lovely cats!

Hi Karin! Happy New Year (almost) :santa: I was catching up last night, but fell asleep with my hands at the keyboard, so I didn't get to post. :lmao:

I'm glad you are both on the mend and get a few more days to rest.

I love your Christmas tree! It looks like the ones we used to have when I was a little girl. Except we've never put real candles on!:scared1: I'm sure I would burn the house down. ;)

Your plans are coming together and your trip is getting so close! Now your ticker says 1 month, 3 weeks.....:banana::banana::banana::banana:

It's so much fun to share our experiences and see how other people celebrate and then realize that it is all very similar.
And glad to hear that Sophia "spiced" up things a little bit. How did your new furbaby do?

I need to read up on your holidays. But there are so much less than here, but then on the other hand if ours fall on a weekend that's it, you seem to get the next day off.
I am going back to work on Jan 9. But Tom will have a long weekend too, Jan 6 is a holiday here  (another one, and this time it is timed correctly ;)) so he will have Friday, Saturday and Sunday off.
My voice is still not back to normal really, but it is much better and I guess until it is time to go back to work it will be back to normal as well.

Pixie is so darn cute... and judging from what is under the tree... very loved. :goodvibes

She's a spoiled little furbaby!

When I saw your tree I could not believe how similar they were! We both seem to like a Disney tree ...... don't even mention our cats. :rotfl2:

Hi Tammie!
Happy New Year to you and all of your family too!

Thanks for your kind words about our tree. It looks different to the American trees but that is the best we can get here. As it is with real trees, they never grow completely straight and look the same all around, but Tom did a pretty good job picking it, didn't he?
We always had and have real candles on our trees. But we only light them on Christmas Eve when the tree is still very fresh (we only put ours up on Christmas Eve and leave them until Jan 6).

I am so happy about our upcoming trip. We both really need it. And I cannot wait to get back to that wonderful Disney DREAM. :thumbsup2
This Saturday we will be down to 7 weeks!!! :woohoo:

When are you going to Hawaii?

What a lovely tree you have. Sounds like you had a very enjoyable and relaxing day.

Hope you get your voice back soon and are feeling better. Nothing worse than being sick over the Holidays.

Take Care.

Sorry to hear that you were still not feeling 100% for Christmas. :headache: However, I think Tom did a great job picking the tree. And it looks so beautiful with the candles. Thanks for sharing that.

Now...when are you going to get around to more planning for February??? We're getting closer and we're under two months now. :dance3: But no pressure...:rotfl:

Hope you are both feeling better and have well rested over the holidays. We are doing eastern on the fantasy. DLRP report was excellant and all that yummy french food, it's somewhere we have never been but will do someday as it is only a short plane journey. Double digits:dance3: Yey You got palo reservations :thumbsup2

What a lovely tree! You have to tell me though, how you manage Pixie and real candles on a real tree. Our two crazy kitties are waaaay to interested in our tree. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas (it sounds like you did) and are feeling back to 100% soon. Happy New Year to you, too!

Your tree was so lovely. We haven't had a real tree for several years. It was getting too expensive for a real tree.

The candles are so cool, I use imitation candles on my tree.

Beautiful tree. I love the candles on it. What a wonderful tradition. Our tree was in horrid shape when we got back. I took it down a week early just because it was SO dried out. If we had candles on it.. it would have gone up like a flash!

Karin, Happy New Year to you and Tom. Hope that 2012 is filled with magic the whole year through!

It feels really good, to be under two months! And in a few more days I can actually say .... NEXT month. :lmao:

CC is just wonderful, we love it there. :thumbsup2

You forgot about the Pirate buffet? ..... Hm, that can only mean that you HAVE TO cruise again! :rotfl2:
Don't worry, we never made it to the buffet on our first cruise either. And the thing is that we are usually so stuffed that we cannot eat any more anyway. :lmao:

Oh don't you worry, plans are afoot to rectify missing the pirate buffet ;) :teeth:

Happy New Year to you and Tom, I hope 2012 brings you everything you wish for

Love your Christmas tree, lovely and healthy looking and the decorations are v cute :)

Happy New Year!

I love the photos of Pixie in the tree. She is so cute!

It looks like I may be going to WDW January 20-22....a bit too early to catch you guys in February, but that's when my DBF can get off work.

Thank you, Chris!
Both, Christmas and New Year's were relaxing and enjoyable. We both rested a lot and feel a lot better now.

My voice is coming back VERY slowly. If I talk more quietly it sounds nearly normal - no way can I raise my voice  but I still have a week until I have to "entertain" classes again! ;)

It's getting better slowly, Tina. And I still have 6 and a half weeks until we leave on vacation, so I should be on the mend until then! ;)
I really like our tree too ..... and it does not "loose" any needles - only the ones Pixie bites off at the bottom. :rotfl2:
More planning updates are coming right up ..... I am not sure of your itinerary so I have just planned "ahead" but that is it .... a plan, ready to be changed! ;) We NEED to fit in some Tina time there somewhere. :thumbsup2

Thank you, we are both feeling better and I still have a week off, so time to get ALL well.
When are you doing the eastern caribbean on the fantasy? We are doing one in 2013 with some really good friends who we met on another cruise - funnily enough Teri is a regular here on the DISboards! :thumbsup2
You really should try DLRP one day ...... it's fun ........ just keep in mind that this is Europe and not everyone smiles all day. ;) :lmao:

Pixie has to sit on someone's arm when the candles are lit and we do NOT light them every day. They usually only get lit on Dec 24, so it's not such a big deal. The only issue we have is that Pixie has started "eating" the needles at the lower branches, but it's okay ...... it is a bit tree and she can't eat it all. :lmao:
