Fish Extender Meetup will take place on Thursday, January 17th from 3:15pm to 3:45pm in The District Lounge (next door to Club 687). This meeting is for all three FE: get to know one another, list any changes to families (cancellations), room assignments (upgrades, room down for maintenance, etc), and answer any questions. Please send at least one member of your family. Your entire family is invited, esp for the kids to see a friendly face they may meet in the Kids Clubs.

If you RSVP (on FB or here) and show up to the meeting, I will have an extra gift for you at the meeting!!

PS For those not in the FE, you are still welcome to stop by and say hello and see some friendly faces. You can just ignore all the FE stuff or come toward the end of the meeting (3:30pmish)

This is our first Disney Cruise and first cruise at all for our DD2 and DD6. We, too, plan to go to WDW for a few days prior and then cruise.

Looking forward to getting to know all the Dissers who will be on the same cruise!

I hear ya! I'm still finalizing my plans and will PM you. If we happen to be in the same park at the same time, we should just try to say hello! I've met a few Dissers over the years in WDW and it's all been fun!

Hi everyone! We just finalized our plans and transferred our ressie to this cruise. This will be our 5th cruise (can't wait to be gold!) Taking our DD on her first cruise. Not sure what we are doing before/after the cruise. Will need to work on that one

The more I'm seeing about the new AoA resort, the more I'm hoping we'll be able to stay there for a few nights prior to our cruise. Not sure if we'd do a suite or just the Little Mermaid room (Ariel is my favorite princess and it is cheaper...)

We may try to use our DVC points for two nights after the cruise at BLT, if there is availability. We don't have enough points for both pre/post cruise but I've heard lots of people say that taking a few days at WDW after the cruise is a good thing, instead of just going right home again.

I'm not sure what all the benefits are but...
I've heard about a little higher OBC for booking onboard...
those beautiful and coveted gold lanyards
and being able to book excursions, Palo etc earlier

Great idea! I forgot all about the AoA resort. We stayed at BLT for 4 nights after our Dream cruise last Oct and it was great. I agree, who wants to go home. Trying to decide if we want to add on before the cruise or after is difficult. If we did something before it would be closer to DD's birthday. We usually fly down the day before and spend the night at PC. Maybe we should stay at WDW instead hmmmm.

I just joined DIS boards today because I just heard about Fish Exteners. This will be mine and my son's 3 DCL. We are DVC members but this cruise is for his 13th birthday and has no idea about this trip. I don't plan on telling him until he figures it out on the plane.

As I wrote above, this will be my very first Disney cruise so I am very excited. I assume as we get closer to January, we'll see more people joining our cruise

As for FE, I'm open to doing them if people want to. I have several ideas in mind already but haven't started anything.

That is so great to be doing a back to back and I bet you are excited for one of the newer ships.

We will be living in the Orlando area for a couple months so yeah we'll be doing WDw before and after the cruise A LOT! We will have just finished a tour year assignment in Romania, and will be vacationing for a couple months before we return to DC for training for our next post in Israel.
