Your son will probably think so. We went during Thanksgiving week with our 2 boys, age 4 and 6, and they loved it but I was underwhelmed. Lines were long and it was poorly run compared to Disney. We had the Pepsi promo tickets, so at least it was half off, because I would have felt robbed at full price. My boys are begging to go again next year though, so I'm sure your son would love it if he is a big Lego dude already.
Everything I've heard from people with kids in that age group has been positive.

The pepsi promo is over but there is a mcdonalds one that is simular. Check out mousesavers for the link. Most of the discounted tickets must be used by May 31.
