Anyone have feedback on which area of Orange Lake is better for their families and why? We have a choice between North and East for the end of Jan. Using a time share trade and both are available. Two bedroom units.

I know where it is as we have driven past it, I know my SIL liked it when they stayed there many years ago. Just looking for a bit more specific opinions.

Thanks!!

The East Village is a little newer than the North Village but I suspect that both have been refurbished since they were originally built out. Of the two, I'd suggest North Village because of that resort section's amenities. The Splash Pool area is nice and I think it's better than the two medium sized pool areas that I recall being at East Village. Plus there are tennis and basketball courts, a game room and (I think) a fitness room at North Village. One of the nice advantages, though, of the East Village is that there was a restaurant in the golf clubhouse building the last time we were there (I assume it's still there). Both of those sections have villas that are a fairly long way from the amenities that serve guests staying in those sections.

Olay thanks! Good info to have. Is the resort big enough that where you are staying will impact the length of the drive?

Meaning length of drive to the theme parks and such?

OLCC is a large resort and the North and East villages are the furthest back from the SR 192 entrances to the resort. So the location of those sections and the buildings within them that are furthest from SR 192 would impact driving time but not appreciably - compared with West Village or River Island - at most it's a five minutes drive from the far parts of North Village or East Village to SR 192.
