As one season turns into another more people plan for the next. Hopefully this pole can be used to let those able to tailer their visit choose less crowded options.

*INSTRUCTIONS*
1. Choose only weeks when school is out for at least 3 of the 5 weekdays.
2. Choose by school district size, so your tally is more informational. If your school district is large, or medium you will find it most likely in this link. Don't assume.
4. District size, is based on the number of students.
5. If you have multiple weeks you can choose more than one.
6. If your break is in or includes April you can find that poll *right here.*
7. Remember after you have voted your vote can not be changed, so pick carefully.
8. Thank you for helping create useful information.

Clarification?

Do you want Canadians to vote as well?

Also, you seem to have some wacky dates, in 2012 March 4th is a Sunday as is March 11th, 18th and 25th, are they not?

Should us college kids respond as well?
Sure the poll results should indicate when family groups are able to travel.

Consider you University's attendance as the district size. As your school may not have a break coinciding with the populus of the local school district.

Even if you are not in school or don't have school children, voting for your community's district will still add information.

Yes, Canadians are welcome to vote. They are allowed to visit DLR as well so they will effect the attendance pattern.

Thank you, I know the day of the week is wrong. I didn't realize the calendar was off until it was too late. Once the poll is posted I can not edit the poll itself, only the OP. Ultimately it's the weekdays when school is out that matters, not the weekends everyone gets off anyway.

Done!

We have a 2 week spring break so we are taking advantage of the break coinciding with my birthday to come down to sunny CA and enjoy some more DL magic! :lovestruc

Any school district in Hawaii is small compared to the mainland! haha

I voted for 3/17-25 because my kids go to a private school, but the Hawaii public schools' Spring Break is 3/10-18 (yes, the whole state except Charter Schools).

I can't believe how many of you know what size your school district is. I have no idea, and I used to work for County Schools here. I've never even thought about our district size.

I googled it and was amazed that the answer was actually there! :)

3 day minimum?? Spring Break around here is always Easter weekend *the Fri before and Mon after. The only 3 full days + breaks they get are Thanksgiving and "winter" CHRISTMAS break. They do have a Thur 1/2 day, Fri & Mon off in early May.

The reason I stated 3 days, applies perfect to your situtation.

If you voted for the week before and after Easter, in this poll, you would be reporting that those whole weeks are going to be busier. When in fact your vote needs to be wieghted down to accurately portay that it's only worth 1/5 the vote for that week.

Since the poll only has so many options a limit was present. For example it can not be set up to choose 30 days of a month. So I chose that only posters with the majority of the week should be voting for a particular week. This at least insures the vote are worth 3/5 of the valued weight.

DisneyMomma81, enjoy your long weekend. If you are coming to DL at least you can peek at what the weeks surrounding it will be like.

I answered for my university, the school district I'm teaching at, and my home districts. Unfortunately my home high school district and home elementary school district are both just under 10k and have the same break. Instead of adding them together to take this into account, I selected the small school district option before I thought of that. Doh!! :headache:

A large chunk of the Phoenix area -- including our district of 40,000 kids and the neighboring district of 70,000 -- will be out the week of March 11. And LOTS of Arizonans go to Disneyland that week. I've never been during a school vacation week and not run into several people we know.

Probably no DLR for us this next spring but I'm trying to decide spring or fall for 2013. Maybe both?

Wow! Our weeks (March 11) is really coming out as the winner here...I wouldn't have guessed it based on the hotel rate I booked a month or so ago. I hope it won't be super-crazy!

Surprised to see our dates are the 3rd highest..I expected more schools to be on break the last week of March.

Not that I'm complaining of course!
