We are renting a 2 bedroom deluxe unit from Ken and Denise Price...they have bent over backwards to accomodate our request and work with us on price...just super people.

Can anyone recommend a Tower number and room number for a 2 BR Deluxe that would give us the best view of the lake and fireworks, if both can be done.

If we don't check in until after 9 PM, is it unlikely that we will get our requested room? It is either then, or in the morning, and I doubt we'd be able to do anything at that hour. Any chance we could check in at 8 AM, but not occupy the room until evening???

We will be there for 10 nights...is there maid service on the 7th day, or at any point in time?

Are the pools heated? If it is 60 outside, a heated pool is a must for me to take a dip.

What kind of perks are being offered for a timeshare tour right now? I may have 2 hours to give them in exchange for something good...but my DW and I have been on at least 6 tours in the past, and we are very good at saying NO...my job situation is such that I could be laid off at any time, so even if we wanted to commit, that situation dictates a solid and loud NOOOO.

Thanks for any recommendation on Tower, Room Number and anything else you can lend....we check in on 2/15 for our stay... :woohoo:

We were recently in tower 5 and had a great view of EPCOT and fireworks. We could also see MK fireworks in the distance. Our room faced the opposite direction of the lake. I don't think that you can have both.

Can anyone confirm that it is not possible to get both a Fireworks AND Lake view? I guess the Lake view would be better, as I'll see that every day I get up, but will only be at WBC for the WDW fireworks on a few nights. And still looking for recommendation for a good room number to request...2 Bedroom Deluxe.

I loved room 1474 tower 4 had a fireworks view though..and the pools are heated ..the lazy river is right out the back door of bldg 4 and 5...i wouldnt do the time share unless u plan on buying..otherwise you will waste your time..you may get some cash or something..but to me buying a timshare is a ripoff period..dont be tied down to something u cant sell.. if u get in a financial bind. I vacation every year..and rent off ebay..or rent DVC points and never pay more than I want. You may be able to get your room request and do a soft check-in..and use the pools if you want..but u wont be able to get in your condo till after 4 ..since you are checking in on a wednesday ..its not that busy..so u may get in before 4. Have a great time..its an awesome place to stay. Remember no maid service unless you pay for it..its not a hotel unfortunately. So you will have to wash towels. they supply 3 or 4 boxes of soap, if u want more its a dollar a box.

Thanks Bruce...very helpful...from what I have read, the Wyndham Timeshare Sales Staff are among the most pressure pushing group...I have done at least a half dozen, including Hilton last year at Parc Soleil, and never felt overhwlemed...no is no is no.

Glad to hear the pools are heated...but I still need clarification on if you can get a fireworks and a lake view in the same room, or if it is either/or.

How was parking...at some places, parking is not bad...at others, it can be a hassle. My wife and I have stayed at about 10 - 12 timeshare place within a 10 mile radius of WDW in the last 12 - 15 years....not a bad one in the bunch, some better than others..but really anxious to compare WBC to the others. We really like Grand Beach....we don't use the pool a lot, so not a high priority, and we always get a 3 bedroom unit, which gives us a ton of room. And Grand Beach is close to everything. Units are a bit older, but still clean and fine for how little time we spend there...out the door every morning at 7:30 and never back until after 9 at night, sometimes not till midnight.

I believe you can, but I'm not sure which buildings. You can try using the DIS search feature for "Bonnet Creek views," or just call the resort directly.

You're going to have to call the resort anyway to make your request. Don't wait until checkin -- it will be too late.

I stayed at the hotel in early November and had both a lake, pool and fireworks view. If you consider the property around the lake as a clock, the hotel being at 6 o'clock and the main bldg where you check in at 12:00, building three was to the immediate left of the hotel and building 6 was to the immediate right of the hotel. If I stood on my balcony (9th floor) I could see the Swan/Dolphin hotels in the distance and at night the Epcot fireworks over the roof of the main building where you check in. I know this sounds confusing but bldg 3, with a lake view would give you both the fireworks and lake view...imo. I was really impressed by the grounds and the location. Have fun!

I stayed in building one and had a nice view of the lake (the water in the middle, not an actual natural lake) and the pools. We also could see right into Epcot. Excellent view of the fireworks from our balcony. Try to get as high up as possible. Honestly, since you are arriving midweek, the unit choices may be very limited. Parking was very easy. Lots of spaces in front of the unit. Building one is a bit smaller than the rest. The newer the building, the taller the tower. That may have an effect on parking at those buildings. As far as the sales pitch goes, as a Wydham resale owner, I always go. I'm never at one more than an hour and I walk out with $100. If you are not an owner, it will be 3+ hours of extreme high pressure and half truths. I would never go through that again in a million years. I bought my Wyndham off of Ebay for a few bucks. That fact alone gets me out of the owner updates in minutes. They know they could never sell me a retail contract in a million years!
