This week on wedway radio they were talking about Christmas at Disney. The hosts mentioned that at some point in their life their parents realized they didn't need any more stuff and so they decided instead of presents they would get the whole family a trip to WDW every year.
I've had a lot of discussion with a lot of my friends about this recently. I think our consensus is that in general most of our kids have too much crap, they don't play with it that much and it just winds up cluttering your house and making everything feel cramped. We're talking about giving the kids more experiences and fewer things. It should result in more well rounded kids and cleaner less cluttered houses.Im liking this idea!! My kids have to much crap! Daddy needs a vacation

I would really like to stay 2 weeks at WDW during the Christmas holidays but DW does not want to - family obligations. As for spending, we set our Christmas gift giving budget and blew it in October. We always go overboard on Christmas. I may be able to book Spring Break 2013 over the Easter holidays. If successful, then we may have a new vacation plan. My opinion is that why should we spend time with relatives who we never see all year round during the holidays. If they live 5 miles away, and never even call unless they want to mooch something, then why should I ruin my Christmas by wasting time with them?
