Hi All,
I just book a couple of nights at Aulani later this month.
I was wondering what the pool wrist band situation was. If I have three folks in the room, can I add on my nephew so that he can stop by and swim?

Also, do you need different wristbands to travel between pools?
Thanks

As long as adding your nephew doesn't put you over the max occupancy, you'll be fine....

I would call MS before your stay to add his name to your room. When we checked in and I tried to add one of my son's friend to our room at that time, it took a little while :confused3

They are very strict with the wristbands bands (they have an actual checklist of everyone's name) because they said there are a lot of people trying to sneak in and use the facilities.

Oh, and you only need one band for all the pools.....

Awesome. Thanks.

Do you need a wrist band to just hang out at the pool area?

Yes....you will need to get a wrist band in the pool area when you get your towels. They have a list of every guest's name and check them off when they put on your wrist band. You'll also need your room key to return to the pool area from the beach.

No you do not need wristbands to just hang out. You only need them to swim or to get towels. You can use the area to eat or lounge around. My guess is if you decided not to swim you can give your wristband to someone else but they will need to put it on them and then they will check your name off the list. If you tried to go back and ask for another they will see that your name was checked off.

This was as of 11/10/11. However, during Labor Day weekend they did not have any way of giving wristbands except your room key. So people were giving their room key to other people to get more bands. This is just what I heard. :rotfl2:
