Refund on unused ticket days?

Does Disney do this?

We're taking a big group in December and due to the health of some of our party, they might not be able to hit a park every day.

Could they buy a 6 day ticket just in case and get a refund on the unused days if they only use 4 or 5?

No-expiration isn't really an option; they're not likely to be repeat WDW travelers.

We're typically AP holders and I honestly know very little about ins and outs of tickets....

No refunds. You can upgrade a ticket to add days, but you can't get a refund on unused days.

You are always better off buying the minumum ticket. You can always upgrade during your trip if needed.

1. Tickets are non-refundable.

2. Once you have a four day ticket, each additional day is only $8.33 including tax, up to the maximum of ten days on a ticket.

3. There are two separate rules concerning upgrades, depending on the ticket. All upgrades must be done within 14 days of date of first use, and you may upgrade multiple times.

A. If staying at a Disney Resort and the tickets are on the KTTW (room key) as long as you have valid ID showing you are the person on the ticket you may upgrade to add days even if there are no more entries remaining.

B. If the requirements for (A) above are not met, then you must do the upgrade no later than close of business of the day you use the last entry on the ticket.

4. If you go to the locked sticky Everything About WDW Tickets in the TPA&S Forum, especially Post #6, you can get a lot more information. An easy way to get to the sticky is by clicking on the link in my signature.
