We leave on Tuesday!
I called this afternoon to upgrade from our free QS dining plan to the DDP. We are staying for 7 nights, so I had figured out around $160. I give all the information to the CM, who proceeds to tell me that I owe her $289.
Hadn't planned for that! I ask her why, and she proceeds to tell me that I need to pay the difference (duh) between the QS plan, $34.99, and the "Plus" plan which is $55 per person per day.
So I begin racking my brain. I knew I had seen posts about price increases, but thought it was for next year. And still didn't think it was going up that much!
So I ask her first if she has the right year. Then if she has the right plan. (1TS, 1CS, 1 snack) She says yes.
Then I tell her I had priced out the difference on the Disney website by booking pretend vacations. She asks where I did that, and I begin to tell her.
Then I realize I have 2 minutes until my next class comes in. I still don't know what she did, but I realized I was not going to be able to convince her she was wrong. If I had time, I would have asked for a supervisor.
Instead, I just gave up, knowing I could call back later. ("You just want me to cancel that?" ummm, yeah....)
I called back later, paid my $160 and had a good laugh with the new CM about it. She was floored.
I feel sorry for the people that don't know any better and end up paying too much for the CM's mistakes...
