I've been working on this project for about a year now as the right situations present themselves and I thought the members on the disboards might be interested in seeing them.
I'm attempting to create images of each princess in at least their "canon" outfit (+ alternate outfits when they're available) in an appropriate setting.
I'd love to put these in a portfolio book eventually :goodvibes
All the costumes featured were made by the wearers (unless otherwise stated with the photo)
Constructive criticism or location suggestions for the remaining princesses encouraged :thanks:

Nice! They are all great, but I just love the The Arabian Princess photo!

I think this is an awesome concept and I like what you've done so far. :thumbsup2

I'm not a Princess expert but it seems like the backgrounds, in some of the pictures like 'humble' and especially Tiana, due to the % that occupies the pictures are over whelming the Princesses. That is easily fixed with a crop. Now that could be just me and my interpretation and your intent is to emphasize the background over the princess.....

The other thing I would do is to try to spot light the Princess in some way so that visually she is not lit the same as the background (especially Tiana). I don't know if you can do that with software or if you were able to add some form of additional lighting on the Princess at the shooting location.

Please keep in mind that I Love, Love, Love what you are doing and these are just small things. Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing your pictures!

Thanks for your take on them, I do appreciate it ^^
Yeah I added the extra space in Cinderella's because I wanted to make the "overwhelming manor" feel to it and Tiana I was trying emulate the feeling of the "wishing star shot" with the over abundant space.

I will take the light ideas into account while working on the future princess shots, thanks so much! :flower3:

Gorgeous! I'd love to see more of the costumes, but that's just a personal obsession of mine....... :rolleyes1

This is a great concept. I like the idea of having photo projects like these. The costumes are great! I also agree that the Arabian Princess shot is superb. :thumbsup2

Great pictures and concept!

You need some better lighting in some of them to highlight the model though. I like Pugnacious Princess. Did you take that at the National Harbor in MD?

Thank you and yep, that's at National Harbor. We were there for Katsucon this year and thought the "titan" idea would be fun ^_^
