What are my chances

You would Think I've never been to Disney before. I didn't realize how fast restaurants filled up. My mil usually makes the reservations but I wanted some alone time with my family. We are going november5-16 and chef mickeys, backyard BBQ and cinders las castle are all booked (surprise). What are my chances of a time slot opening in any of those? Any tips to get in? We are staying off property.

Good luck on those places. We are there at the same time and you are picking some of the toughest places to get into. Check the cancelled post for november in the reservations folder and you might be lucky to get one.

At the top of this board is the Disney Dining Reservations folder. Click on that and one of the posts is for people cancelling reservations in November.

Your chances are slim and none. But people do cancel so keep trying.Reservations open 6 months in advance and these popular restaurants book to capacity way in advance.

I have to disagree with the above. We are going Nov 12-16 and coudn't get Ohana or chef mickey, but I kept checking and between yesterday and today, I got both!!! I would strongly recommend checking several times a day. iT WORKED FOR ME!

Keep checking online. Maybe try to find reservations at another character meal so at least you have something.

I agree , chack daily or twice daily online , I'm willing to bet you will get what your looking for , i did it this summer for many of our popular requests and got them all

I think this depends a lot on how many people are in your party. We had 7 in our party and it was extremely difficult. I looked every day for months. There were many times I could have booked a party of four though. Good luck. I hope you get very lucky!

Keep trying even after you get there. I canceled a before the park CP because my family decided they wanted to do a different park that day. I guess my loss was someone else's gain.

Your choices are 1) keep checking, maybe somebody will cancel; even keep checking after you get to Orlando and 2) show up and maybe they will have space for you, but be prepared to be denied. There is really no way to estimate what your chances are.

Persistence pays off in the world of ADRs. I've been stalking a few different character meal times for our upcoming trip and I've seen ressies at almost all the character meals pop up this week. It is definitely possible. As you can tell from these boards, people are constantly changing their ADRs. So, check online as much as you can and you just might get what you need.

I wouldn't give up on a walk-up either...we've done this without DD knowing what we were doing (don't want to get her hopes up) and have gotten into CRT, CM, GG, 1900PF, and CP that I can remember. All without an ADR. So, it never hurts to try once you are onsite. Good Luck!

I too would say just keep checking. We are going the 12th -19th of November and I was able to snag an ohana for 7 last night after checking for weeks. As it gets closer people will start canceling. Keep an eye on the Nov. Cancel thread and check the ressie website as often as you can. I'm still trying to see if I can get a CRT. We had decided not to do it, but now have decided to try. I'm checking 4 or 5 times a day and I'm seeing more of the popular places pop up in the past week. When I search I usually don't put in a place. I just put my date and meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and see what all comes up.
Good luck!!

i just booked my trip a week and a half ago and it's for Dec 13-16. The one restaurant i was truly looking forward to is full...im checking daily, hourly to see if theres opening for dinner sighh
