Harvest Festival Booth Ideas?

Our local High School is having a Harvest Festival
before the Home Coming Football Game.
I need some ideas for a FUNd raising booth for the Marching Band.

ALL ideas are welcome!

The follow Booths are already taken:

"Pie" the Cheerleader
Glow Gear w/ "I Love FHS" mural

Nachos/Churros
Hot Chocolate

Corn Hole/Sell license plates (no idea what this is?)

Sell anything Candy - lollipops, candy bars, any kind. Everyone likes Candy!!

Maybe chili or soup if you think it might be a cold day or night. Keep it simple. Sprinkle with some cheese and you are good.

How about hot apple cider and donuts.

How about dessert table. Have the band members bake something like cookies or brownies.

Carmel or Chocolate Dipped Apples. We did this at our block party. Use crockpots to melt the caramel and chocolate and dip in sprinkles.. Or make ahead of time and wrap in pretty cellophane.

Go to your local y-buy or other rental type of store. They should have some games that you can rent. For our bookfair I rented a double basketball shoot (electonic scoreboard) and a duck game (younger kids). Both together were $139 including delivery. I think if you just did basketball you could stay under $100. Charge $1 or $2 per game and you can make a profit. With a dual game two people can play against each other. I also like the candy idea as everyone does like candy. Sounds like the cake booth might already by desserts? If not you could sweet treats and mix candy and a bake sale. Another idea is cotton candy. You can rent a machine for this as well.

Take orders for pumpkin pies to be delivered the week before Thanksgiving. This works great if you can get Costco to sell you the pies for $5 and you sell them for $10. Then split the deliveries into areas and have the kids and parents take an area. We do this every year with our Choir Booster! We also do this with pizzas (pay for a month of Friday night delivery). The other one we do is homemade cinnamon rolls at the school craft fair. More labor intensive though...

10 days? Hmmmm......at my DS's school, the music dept.'s big fundraiser at homecoming was an apple pie booth. We all made pies that were sold by the slice or whole pies (made more $$ by the slice). It was always a big hit, but not sure how many bakers you can organize in 10 days. Although, I'm sure if you hustled you could whip out a bunch of pies.

We did something similar - except we served the apples sliced in a bowl, then put the caramel over the top with whipped cream, cherries and nuts. The first time we saw them, they were called "Apple-doo-dahs", so that's what we always call them when we make them...

How about doing a "Minute to Win It" booth where people pay so many tickets to compete against in each other in some sort of game. The winner could get some kind of inexpensive prize like a fun-sized candy bar.

some classics that no one said....

Fish toss-if you can find a store that will sell you a good amount of fish cheap

dime toss-if you have a place close by that dose printing on cups and frisbes see if they will donate them or will sell them you you at a really good discounted price and have them put the schools mascot on them

spin art-you would just have to find the machines.

wax hands-you melt wax in a corckpot or such and then you dip the persons hand in it, let it dry a little, then repeat about 5 more times. carefuly remove hand and you have the wax hands.

dart throw-use ballons and find some "cheap" rewards

ring toss

rumage table

funnal cakes

charachter drawings-see if a few of the art students at the school would help with it

friendship bracelets in the schools colors-DMC floss and some knoting you could get some of the band to help with them. you can get one done in 30 mins or less

key chains/sports bottles/t-shirt-see the dime pitch on this one, but just sell them-no game game. you can put class of 20XX for each of the 4 grades.

pizza booth-see if a local pizza place will donate X amount of pizzas to sell or you could see if the school will let you use their kitchen to do it.

Gifts in a jar-you can make up some jars that have cookie mix, cake mix, drink mix in them and sell them. they have a book/web site for them.

chiness auction table-go to local places to get them to donate things and have people bid on them.

A favorite booth at DD's school (14, at her middle school end of the year fair)was the marriage booth! For I think $1.00 you got two cheapo gold rings and "got married" to your friend! The rings are about 5cents each if that! It was a fun novelty! Not just boys and girls but best friends too!

We have also done "Sling the Chicken in a Pot" at a school carnival! Use large soup pots from cafeteria a sling shot apparatus and rubber chickens! Great fun!!

We just had our festival and the fingernail painting and colored hair sprays were two favorites.

How about a photo booth? I know you can rent the old fashioned kind, or you could have some dress up stuff and take pics yourself if you had a portable printer.

I think a previous suggestion of pizza by the slice is a great idea. Doesn't sound like there is any other real food coming.
