14-night Eastbound Transatlantic Cruise (May 14-28, 2011) Lots of pics! COMPLETED 9/8

Thank you, Kevin, for an amazing trip report and beautiful photos! We were on the cruise as well, and I think were on your dinner rotation. I wanted to ask, may I copy a couple of photos you posted, as my DD (college student) is in the background of the photo?

Of course! Thank you for asking! :)

Kevin, thanks so much for taking the time to share this great trip report with all of us. It was a wonderful read, and your photos (as may have been mentioned before once or twice :rolleyes1) are amazing.

For me, it was especially cool to see your Barcelona pictures, as DH and I were sightseeing there on the very same day, waiting to board the Magic the next morning (which is when you got off). Coming into town from the airport, I had already spotted the Magic in port and pestered my husband with frantic exclamations along the way of "She's here! The Magic! She's already here! Oh, I wonder what the people on board are doing right now! I can't wait for tomorrow!" and so on and so forth ;)

Oh and by the way, terrible about that medical emergency - bit did you know that the exact same thing happened on the cruise right after yours? On the last day, due to a medical emergency, we sped back to Barcelona and arrived there at 9.00 pm instead of in the next morning. How are the odds of that happening two cruises in a row, I wonder?

Once again, thank you for the great report - now I'm back to waiting for my own next cruise!

Thank you so much! And I definitely understand your excitement at seeing the Magic...that sight never gets old. :)

Another medical emergency? How terribly tragic! I feel so bad for those who get so sick so far from home! I hope everyone is okay now!

Thanks again!

4 days! Wow...I guess my TR was rather lengthy, haha. I hope you enjoyed following along! Glad I could help out...enjoy your cruise! :)

Thank you so much! Have fun on the Fantasy! I haven't booked a cruise on her yet, but I hope to get on her within the first year!

You came out of lurkdom to compliment me?! Thank you so much...that means a lot! I'm glad so many people have enjoyed this TR!

Another thank you. :thumbsup2 As I have never done a TR, I want to thank you for taking the time to write your trip. I would like to sail on a transatantic cruise and seeing other's experiences is always exciting to me.

A million thank yous for posting this. Somehow I have been reading TR this for the past 2 HOURS!!!

We have been on a 10-day Disney Med cruise in 2007. We are taking the Hawaiian cruise in April (our 5th Disney) and I needed to see what a longer cruise is like with so many sea days. I know now that I will not be bored!

I love...
All of your photos, especially:
The shots of the food... (ummm food)!
The Gibraltar Monkeys!
The dolphins! (and yes, those were whales)
The picturesque and quaint places you visited!
The weather, oh my the glorious weather!
The shows. These are the most amazing shots I have ever seen in a TR. The look like they are straight out of a professional program.

And, wow, you had a chance to try an American brownie and jelly? Lucky, lucky ;)

Thank YOU! I LOVED writing this TR and I'm glad others have enjoyed reading it. I would recommend, without hesitation, a transatlantic cruise to everyone! :)

We had Marianne as our server on the WBTA and she was very pleased finding out that you wrote so many nice things about her.

Thanks so much for taking the time to post this trip report!

It really helped us to relive our WBTA (just got back 2 weeks ago), and I loved the shots of Madeira and Gibraltar- those two ports were amazing!

And your commentary definitely held my interest throughout the whole report- you all even gamed more than we did....:thumbsup2

Thank you for reading and for the compliments! And, while we were cruising, I didn't think we gamed THAT much...until I wrote the TR and every other paragraph involved gaming, haha! :)

Another great trip report. You do a fantastic job!:yay:

I love sea days, too, so was happy to hear that you enjoyed yourselves even with so many in a row. We did the Med cruise summer of 2010, but are considering Hawaii if Disney decides to expand to more than the two already on the books!

Thanks for such a thorough job. I really enjoy reading your entries.

I seen a picture of me and my wife on your thread #112 last picture I'm the guy to the left in shorts and black jacket. I was also on the Ricky Kalmon Show . I was the guy who did the Lion King with the shoe. I also put a video of it on youtube titled Rickey Kalmon Disney transatlantic cruise may 2011 pt 1 and 2.

What a wonderful TR - we are going on the EBTA in 2013 and your trip report truly confirmed we made the right choice to do this cruise.

As for your server Marianne; she is now on the Fantasy and works in Palo! We were blessed to have her as our server for dinner and then for brunch and she won our hearts from the first moment we met her. We sailed on the Fantasy in May of this year and loved it!

Thank you SO much for sharing this information! It couldn't have come at a better time since we set sail on the Fantasy at the end of this week. We will for sure be requesting to have her for our Palo meals when we board the ship!
