Great news guys! I'll be leaving in 24 hours but have some final queries someone might be able to help me with:

1. I need to get to RPR from Doubletree Universal early in the morning for check-in this friday and head to the park and be the first at the turnstiles.
Best way to get from Doubletree to Universal early? It's about a mile... Walk with luggage? Cab from Doubletree? Is 6 am too early...7?

2. Can anyone confirm if the MEARS counter at MCO is 24 hours? I am pretty sure when I used MEARS two years ago and everything was closed past midnight at MCO. My cc is not going through online and I can't book over the phone.

3. I've found out there is a HESS gas station at the Disney Car Care, is there any way I can get to MK after I drop off my car there? I know Alamo has buses to resorts, but to parks?

4. I will rent a locker all day in IoA. This is 8 bucks, right? And can be used until HHN is over and I can re-open it as many times as needed, true?

Thanks much!

HHN 21 Pre-Trip Report

Wow, those are tough questions! I am leaving in about 40 hours, so we can share in the excitement/panic of the last few hours of leaving for a trip! :)

On your first question, I don't think 6AM is too early to go, but I don't think you need to be there that early. Maybe get there at 6:45 so you can head off to IOA by 7. Then you'll have about a 45 minute wait and be VERY close at the very worst to the first person there.

Get a cab from Doubletree. Walking with all of your luggage sounds awful and takes so much more time.

If you rent a locker at IOA, I don't think you'd be able to get your stuff after HHN since the park will have been closed for five or more hours. I've never gotten a locker, so I'm not sure whether paying all day for a locker at IOA would count toward a locker that same day at Universal.

For the Mears question, just give them a call real quick. It seems unlikely that anyone would know that for sure.

I'm sure there is some way to get from the Car Care Center to at least a place where you can get a bus to the parks. Again, I'd give them a call.

I don't know their policy on lockers, but I think if you stow it during the day, you need to pick it up before the end of the day (park closing) or they will take the stuff out and probably hold it elsewhere. HHN is separate from a regular day, so I don't think they'd keep regular day guests' items in the lockers...

That makes perfect sense since the park closes and then reopens for HHN you probably can't lockers over.

I have no idea on the other questions.

Thanks guys!
I read on some previous posts from years ago that lockers rental would carry on until the end of HHN. I just wanted to confirm.

Cheers!

you can check into rph anytime.

if you check in at 6:00 am, check your luggage with valet, you can be ready to get in line at IOA .

take a taxi from doubletree to rph.
save your walking for the parks.

the front lockers can be opened and used throughout the day without additional charges.
i read that it did carry over last year for hhn but check with guest services to be sure.

Mears counter at mco is 24 hours.

you can request a drop off from the disney car care center to return to your resort. call once you are in orlando to confirm they will drop you off at a park.

i know you will be doing this but have to add:

HAVE FUN..........
