WWoHP crowds during HHN???

We are planning a trip to Disney for a few days - Oct 21 - 26th and since we missed our day at the WWoHP in Aug we are considering trying to add it in during this trip.

I have to large concerns though about that.....

1st - All rooms at Universal resorts are booked for our dates so based on this would the assumption be that IOA and WWoHP be very busy???

2nd - I'm a weenie and really do not like anything related to horror, blood, monsters you name it , I'm an adult but this stuff still causes my nightmares. So would we see anything related to the HHN during our time at IOA?

Thanks for any help!!!!! If this doesn't work I'll find a better time for our Universal trip

HHN is in the Studios so other than a few signs in CityWalk and coming from the parking garage, you won't see anything related to Halloween at IOA.

I'll let someone who stays at the hotels answer the questions about those although I don't know why they would all be sold out during that time.

the hotels usually fill up during the time period you are going.
HHN draws homies in from all over.
Peeps book months in advance for some of the October dates.
weekends book up quickly for the end of hhn in october.

there is only one more weekend of hhn after you are there.
crowds for hhn will be high the weekend you are going to ioa.

you won't be affected by crowds as Metro stated.

if you really want to stay onsite, call frequently and you might catch a cancellation.
i say that, instead of checking availability from the website, so that you might catch a break and get a reservation at the last minute.

also, check in frequently as people can cancel without penalty 6 days out from their reservation.

that is for room only bookings.

people that booked a package have to cancel 45 days in order to receive a full refund.

I noticed that too. We are planning a last minute trip up on Oct 23-25 and the only rooms available for Florida Rate are Suites. All other dates in October have a lot of availability, but this time period is rather booked up. Not sure why. Its much more booked up than the following weekend which is the last one.

if you are going mainly for parry hotter, then do that first at ioa.
you will not know how the crowds will be until you get there.
onsite guests are allowed in one hour before the public.

i strongly suggest you do ioa first.
if you have to wait there, then just wait and do the rest of the park after you finish potter.

if you end up with no lengthy waits and finish the highlights of ioa, then upgrade your one day one park ticket at guest services to a 2 park day.
you will only pay the difference for it.
and, it is cheaper to do that than to buy another park ticket just to hop to the other side.

the studios will close at 5 that day as hhn will be held there in the evening.
do as much as you can at that park and then return back to ioa and check out potter.

Brilliant! Thanks so much. The HP first, upgrade if necessary plan sounds like the perfect solution. It's always so much nicer to have a plan you can throw out the window when everything is not what you expected.

glencora, one more thing....

the studios will start to have crowds coming in for hhn around 4 ish.

many will want to do some of the rides before the park closes at 5.

you might run into crowds for the RRR, MIB, Mummy, Simpson rides around 4 or soon after.

get that part of the park completed when (if) you switch over to the studios side after ioa.
go to the far right of the park when you enter the studios for those rides.

then work yourself towards the front for the others.
Shrek, Lucy tribute, horror make up show, etc.

that way you will miss any crowds in the studios.
